Exactly. It seems like he is trying to fit into the so called society, trying too hard to gain their appreciation.

Anyway felt so good after I beat the shit out of Madman Lugos during the Feast.

Or out of that guy Geralt met before the funeral. He was the worst.

Hm...to bad there is no option to add kallelinskis posts to the first page...
Too good to be forgotten after a few days....
Shows exactly it's not everything "rosy" here too.

Guys let's talk about something more pleasant. For example let's share the songs which fit Geralt and Yen love on your opinion.

I feel it in deep, mysterious, with too much passion, a bit dark and of course pretty romantic way.
So it's a higher love for me.

I love this song. And DM in general ;)

Well, Triss fans think the opposite - that the game says that choosing Yen is the only good option

I guess you can never please everyone...

The game should never judge or punish you for any decision, but if it does, you should be able to defend your decision, justify, explain it and not just accept it quietly.

When i said goodbye to Triss, i felt like an asshole, i even made a thread about that and then the game tells me, "Yeah, you should feel like that, because you are for doing that." ._.

"But if I'm to choose between one evil and another, then I prefer not to choose at all."

Easier said than done Geralt, easier said than done.

PS: Sorry for my english XD

Don't, you would be surprised how much time i spent correcting my post before i post it, usually resulting in a massive post, because i expand it every time i proof-read it :)

Geralt could defend Yen to Lambert and Eskel I guess. But it's still not enough. Book Geralt never gave a flying f*ck about some people not appreciating their relationship and it should be shown in the game as well.

Well, you can say "fuck off" to Lambert, when he asks Geralt about Triss in the presence of Yennefer, and tell Eskiel that she has changed, but that's it...

As i said as a reader you can understand those comments by Geralt, but readers have the background knowledge, but newcomers don't. How should they know how and how much Yennefer has changed, if nobody tells it to them?

This, and nothing else.
Well spoken.

What I think would help in developing a more non-book reader friendly Yennefer would be to create more interactions with Ciri. I talked about this on another thread, and I think it was mentioned here, but the lack of Yen-Ciri content is shocking. Throughout the game, Yennefer does these "questionable" things, such as the necromancy to find Ciri. But when they are finally reunited, does it look like her actions are completely justified? I loved the relationship Yennefer shared with Ciri in the books, the story of the lonely witcher girl, and the dark-haired sorceress. We know how hard Yennefer has tried to cure her infertility, and although proven unsuccessful, in comes Ciri, who fills the role as her daughter. If we got to see some of their conversations brought to light, I really think it would help change people's perspective of Yennefer for the better.

Yeah, this is the biggest problem... And by the way, that thing about "she has changed" doesn't have sense either. Yennefer has changed? When? As far as I know, both of them are to blame for their difficult relationship.

Well, i could, cause it's my post, but i don't know, if a rant is so showable :p

But i will think about it. Kinda funny that my inital post was almost entirely positive..

Was anyone a bit disappointed that in the bad ending, it gives no mention to Yennefer (or Triss for that manner) in Dandelion's epilogue? I mean, I get that it really had to kick you in the balls by leaving it all ambiguous-but-not-really because it was the bad ending, but it doesn't say if Yennefer even tried to look for Geralt, or if she knew what he was doing, tried to go with him, or dissuade him.

I think many book and Yen fans are torn between being happy that Yen finally made it into a Witcher game and that she had some great scenes with Geralt on the one hand and being sad about all the missed opportunities and bigger and smaller flaws and inconsistencies on the other hand...

Yes. The bad ending has no right to exist in the first place (it's just plain bad game design that punishes players for making the "wrong" decisions somewhere down the line) but it's also badly made, especially because it's even shorter and contains less characters than the other endings.

Yup. So bad I created a topic and poll just to get CDPR's attention

And also how about some proper ending cutscenes, instead of just some artwork with Old Dandelion narrating over it?

Exactly. Please visit my thread and vote if you haven't :D
Anyway... what have I been missing about Yennefer? A day off and it grew by 35 pages. No way I could possible go back one by one

I guess it's a tradition in current video games.Instead of proper endings we get a slideshow.

Hmm, can't edit my first post properly, probably because it's too long, how did that happen :p

If i click on edit, the forum just shows me an empty box and if i just copy/paste the text in a new reply to see a preview, i get an 500 Internal Server Error like back then.

Looks like i sabotaged myself :p
