Yes! Finished Witcher 2.

Hey all.

New to forums so bear with me for a moment.
I was happy to finally get some time and finish The Witcher 2. I know most if not all of you have probably done this eons ago, but I enjoyed it so much I thought I would share.
With both 1 and 2 complete, I can say that this series is on my top 3 list of story driven games ever. Were there some things I didn't care for as far as mechanics go? Yeah, but nothing that didn't sway me from completing the game.
The art, the story, the fact that it's more of a mature story are all things that helped me enjoy it even more.

I was curious as to the future of the franchise. Are they already planning a third installment?

I'm glad you enjoyed the game that much, but before you look into the future, why don't you play the second part of the game first?

Which path did you finish now?

We assume that there's a third installment planned, because the story is unfinished and still has lots of potential.

I think there might be some people working on the next installment, but the Xbox360 version will have priority. And if that's a succes, the PS3 version might come after that. So much time to wait...:(

I finished the Roche storyline...I started a new playthrough and will go along with Iorveth. Is that what you are referring to?

You'll need to finish it several times to really finish it.

Exactly. :)
Have a lot of fun in that gorgeous Dwarven town - yes, I like that path best and played it after the Roche path, because I suspected as much in advance, hehe.

I liked Vergen a lot too. :p I thought it was one of the best designed places in the game, fantastic architecture. Finally a place that needs some exploration, instead of featuring only a few simple paths where it's impossible to go astray on. :)

I'm just still wondering why Geralt is led to this room in the inn, first thing when he arrives in Vergen, but there's nothing there...

What do you mean there is nothing there? It is HIS room at the inn, that's where he's staying. First thing you do when you arrive somewhere is usually finding your room and getting settled, right?. After patch 1.3 it also has the storage chest.

I'm sure nobody is bored to death until the 3rd comes out. With TW2 you are occupied for a looong time. You can play the game again until you know all 16 endings and... update 2.0 comes this month with the Dark Mode and the Arena challenge. All gladiators *er* arena fighters can post their results somewhere (I guess in the forums here or on FB) to find the Arena champ.
And I'm sure their will be more DLs :

Glad you enjoyed it op!
Iorveth's path is great too, and most people here seem to enjoy it more than Roche's. I don't, but both are great. And you certainly need to play it at least twice to understand everything.

So have fun and let us know your thoughts! I am particularly interested in knowing what you like best in the story.
