YES, I AM SURE, CERTAIN, ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE, NO QUESTION IN MY MIND, REALLY, TRULY, THAT I WANT TO EXIT PHOTO MODE RIGHT NOW! JESUS FUCKING CHRIST!
This is just like the "fix" for players who couldn't figure out the name of which doll they wanted to interact with at Clouds so now everyone else can go make a sandwich while waiting for the dialog, only this is EVERY TIME using photo mode.
I realize this is "minor" and I apologize for the rant, but this has been simmering for a while now and it pisses me off just the same.
To be honest, I appreciate there is now a prompt that you have to validate to exit. I don't know how many times I miss clicked and exited the photo mode when I didn't want to. And of course, the expression or the event I wanted to capture was definitely gone... It was annoying to reload a save and went through a whole convo/cinematic again, just because of a little miss click.
But I agree, most of time, it's not useful. So I guess an option like this in the game settings would be nice:
> "Confirm To Exit Photo Mode" - ON/OFF"
On side note, you have no idea how many people didn't pay attention during the presentation of the dolls, and don't know how's who when they have to answer.
Me included during my first playthrough. When she asked, I didn't know and I picked up Angel... Sounds pretty girly, right? Right? And... I had to reload a save of course
Yeah, there are people that get really into editing their photos. Imagine spending 2+ hours tweaking everything so that you have it just so...and then you nick a key on the keyboard putting down a cup of coffee...or accidentally tap the LMB reaching for your mouse while the cursor is over the exit button...or your cat jumps up on the desk and steps on the keyboard...
The confirmation is a little thing that makes a big difference.
It comes down to that I'm tired of software that tries to do all my thinking for me and yesterday my Samsung Galaxy "thought" it would be a good idea for it to "optimize" my phone by ditching the Google texting app AND the voicemail app - both of which I use regularly. Though, it did leave the Samsung texting app in place which I NEVER use and, to get back Google's app back on the home screen, I had to uninstall/reinstall the goddamned thing from Google Play (no such luck reviving my bank's app; I just have to search through a pile of screens in settings now whenever I want to deposit a check). Apparently, this "optimization" is a "feature" exclusive to Samsung. I don't know when they started to do this but it's just like... I set up the phone the way that I want it so LEAVE THE THING ALONE!
You use mods, so you know what I'm talking about when you load up with a bunch of clothing and a ton of it has the iconic tag. With the wardrobe feature, are you going to actually keep any of that stuff in your inventory? I don't, I get rid of every piece of it but, with the iconic tag, now it takes two steps rather than one. The iconic tag was nice BEFORE the wardrobe system since it kept you from accidentally selling or deleting it, but now it serves ZERO purpose for clothing mods that have ZERO functionality. Not the end of the world when you're dealing with just a few items that you just bought through Atelier, but when I start a new playthrough, I load up on A LOT of pieces. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate that people create all these cool clothing mods, but what is the point of making them iconic anymore? I don't know anything about creating mods so maybe there is something I'm missing or not understanding, but I can't imagine what it might be.
That brings me back to when I accidentally sold V's pants in my first gameplay.
When I realized, I watched my streams on my stream and so backtracked where they went. Then I traveled there and bought them back. It was epic!
And it was the time I played with no nods. Attachment to what's mine is real. Speaking of which, when you are attached, you may want to give the item extra status, something people will be able to see when you're gone. So, shame V's pants, sneakers and fave shirt can't be made Iconic. Imo.
