I don't think there haven't been any decent RPG's released. We have Divinity: Original Sin, Dark Souls 2, Wasteland 2, Diablo 3 expansion, DA:I (different opinions on who you ask, personally I didn't like it). And in the future a possibly good Mass Effect 4 (luckily it won't use the same systems as DA:I), The division is on the horizon aswell. And some smaller rpg games like Grim Dawn, Path of Exile, Child of Light and many more.

Sure we might be lacking the big AAA rpg titles, but that doesn't mean there aren't any good rpg's out there. And yes some of these are not well optimized, balanced or polished. But apparently that's the nature of the gaming industry these days, which means: Don't pre-order games and do not buy game on day 1, wait till they have had a few patches.

I agree. What does make CDPR unique (IMHO), is that they are still catering to hardcore RPG fans, without dumbing down and oversimplifying the game mechanics, story and RPG elements for "The Masses" (*cough, BioWare, *cough).

The Witcher 3 must not, under any circumstances, follow the footsteps of all those semi-failed games!

Alright, this thread is not really going anywhere. Other than off-topic that is. Locked.
