This is a serious case of addiction :hmmm:Apropos addiction... when you become an alchemy maniac you start looking for herbs in your RL nature. e.g. I found our ivy is the same as Honeysuckle

actually, all the botany in the Witcher is quite well researched and mostly based on real plants. My only quibble (and it's small, but irritating to me) is, in fact, the honeysuckle. Petra Silie is right, it looks like ivy, not like a huge carrion flower floating in the water ...

For me, I included the Zoltan quote about pigs in a graduate-level paper (You should have seen the citation source) I knew I shouldn't, but it was appropriate and fit the topic ever so well. I called my son Alvin the other day, and Orens have become a topic of conversation in the home.( we are all playing it now, There is no escape, It's taking over)

At night I am always running through the streets and searching for spider-like monsters! :p But unfortunately drinking a cat does not allow me to see in the darkness.

When playing other RPGs I expect to see monsters emerge when night falls!

Happened to me yesterday:The tv was on, playing a documentary, but i wasn't watching. I was chating with my husband. Then, i heard a word that make me jump: "salamander". I turned to the direction where the word came from (the tv) and placed my body to a position "ready for battle", taking my imaginary sword out and saying "Azar Javed, mean anything to you?". :DMy husband just looked at the ceiling.... ;D

Overhere in Germany we have a shoe brand that is called Salamander. This name is even a trademark. Sometime ago I saw an ad in a magazine and when I saw the company's icon I immediately thought of...

I would say you know you play "The Witcher" too much ...1. When you start thinking about whether to use the silver or the steel sword to slash the life out of a tax collector2. If you wake up with a hard on and you think it is your silver sword3. When all the girls you meet on your night out seem to know you from your past but you can't remember them4. When you only drink with dwarves and other assorted fat and ugly men5. If you can carry 50 potions, 2 swords, 40 flowers, 60 drowner's brains, 34 barghest's heads and 80 bottles of ghoul blood on your back and still expect to gain entrance to a brothel6. When you spend all your night with a Striga thinking she is just a cursed princess7. When you try to printscreen your sex adventures to show your friends that you are certainly cooler than NWN28. When you refuse to take a pee for 3 months in order to imitate GeraltCheers!!! ]:->

So, you can say that we play The Witcher too much when his enemies become ours too.

It seems as if the responses to this thread have become mostly fictional. Some of those are fun, but I like hearing the things that people ACTUALLY do that lets them know that they've been playing The Witcher a lot (no such thing as "too much," right? :) )The word "yearning" was prominently featured in the headline of today's Boston Globe (one of the local newspapers), and I immediately heard The Resolute Girl's voice in my head, telling me that adults were useless because they were always doing all that yearning. :)

I'm sorry to hear that you got hurt, but your video is really cute! You're such a creative person, Whisperwind -- you think of the darndest things.

Whisper wrote lines and curves on her fingers with eye pencil, then she changed the position of her hand and fingers such that the lines and curves first made a "W" and then an "I" and then a "T," and well, I suppose you can guess what came after that. :)

1)...when you've watched the intro and outro more than 12 times.2)...when all the music you've been listening to are those soundtracks from the game, and would remember where/when they are played during the game.3)...when your heart would still have an extra beat or two from seeing crabs in the market.4)...when as a guy, you thought about having sterilization surgery so that you can have all the sex you want with all the beautiful women you meet.5)...when as a girl, you would accept any sterile guy for sexual pleasure, but only once or twice with the same sterile guy, unless you're a prostitute.

^ Poor kitty... Just GIVE HER THE DAMN BIRD! :DHappened to me today: I was walking to town and a van passed. In its side it was written a name, probably the business' owner's last name, with huge letters: (Κατρής) Katris. And, of course, the first thing that crossed my mind was "Katriona" ... Then i said "Katriona? No, it can't be" and on a second look i saw it was "Katris".My husband is seriously worried for me.... ;D
