The Perfect Triss

The Perfect Triss

Does anyone remember what Triss looked like in official artwork of the first Witcher? Very attractive, feminine and sexy. I would be happy, if that look was used in her designs for The Witcher 3. Would it be too much asking of CDPROJEKT to make a second DLC with her alternative design? It should be noted that according to the books, she had chestnut hair and blue eyes.

She also seems to be wearing even less than her TW1 version, which I didn't think would be possible. Also, what's up with that.... haircut? Do not want.

with that hairstyle she looks like some alien princess or something from the stars war universe

Yeah, it's basically a Padme hairdo. And then there's that nondescript, generic pornstar face. I know some people don't think the current version of the character is pretty enough, but I think what they're trying to do is make her look like a real person with a distinct face, rather than just going with button nose + pouty lips + googly eyes = sexyface.

That said, I think it would be a nice nod to the old school if they included alternate character skins based on pre-TW1 concept artwork, just for the heck of it. Especially if it's something as... weird as this.

Her hairstyle definitely seems a bit unusual, but it should work for the sake of variety. In any case it looks more appealing, rather than having same hairstyle in two games in a row. But mainly, this Triss's looks is what I like on this picture.

Sorry pal but as a Triss fan I massively prefer how she looks now.

Is this what you like?

Who said it was Triss? From te start even Geralt wasn`t supposed to be the main hero.

It's promotional poster.

Triss' Hair

I'm curious about this: In the novels, Triss is really happy with her chestnut hair; it comes up several times. Does anyone know why in the games she's a redhead?

So? Who posted on this poster is better to ask the artist directly. From the start the main protagonist was named Berengar , and all you saw concept arts of that guy-with dreads and spiky hairstyle. So that letter under the picture tells me nothing. Its just some sorceress that have nothing common with original W1 and book Triss.

The edit history shows the original to have been uploaded back in 2007 by Ausir, who was one of the major contributors back in the days when that was the official wiki, and it was included in the content transferred to gamepedia when the wiki moved. I'm not in a position to confirm its authenticity, but with that history, I would definitely accept it.

I'm glad that CDPR finally chose the now official Triss. Even being out of lore, she looks more like the sorceress she is than this overornate other.

I've brought this up with no conclusive answer yet. It's not just red hair either, she has dyed red hair. Could be they simply want her to stand out more.

Triss looks fine. Her appearance was pretty much defined in TW2. And I'm glad that she stayed practically unaltered for TW3. I mean her looks were so distinct in TW2, that it would be really weird if her face changed completely.

Sorry for straying off of what the OP had in mind, but since this thread is a mirror thread of "The Perfect Yennefer", I feel like it's appropriate.

What I think is very interesting, is how will her character be shown in the new game. I'd really like to see an interesting storyline around Triss, explaining what she has done so far in the previous games, and making some connections with Triss from the books. Give us the whole picture, which I think we have not yet fully grasped.

I don't know having Triss around just for eye-candy feels wrong. She is a great character and she should be reinstated back to that status. I mean make it more obvious that she is an awesome character.

I'm mostly happy with Triss in the games.

I would have preferred chestnut brown hair; since that's how it was described again and again in the books, but the hair color is the only bit I don't like.
