Release: Armed and Dangerous

Lock, stock, and two gaping jaws.

Armed and Dangerous, the outrageous 3rd-person shooter where a band of misfits saves the world with eccentric weaponry, is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com, with a 25% launch discount.

A wanted bandit, a tea-obsessed robot, a mole-man that's good with explosives, and an old man with an overpowering smell will go up against King Forge's robot army. Their goal? Simple: steal the Book of Rule and save the world. But not before they make a big ol' mess of it.

As a career outlaw, Roman's not afraid to play dirty. Besides his considerable swagger, he packs some neat, non-standard-issue weaponry like a gun that plants a hungry land-shark in the ground, gas grenades that make his enemies switch sides, and a gravity-reversing gun that sends everyone flying. Will that be enough to see his rag-tag team through to the end of this crazy adventure? Do they have the firepower to defeat hulking Goliaths, disgusting hybrids, and killer droids? And is it actually true that Roman wears his mask to hide his disgustingly bad teeth?

Jump the shark and find yourself inside a rip-roaring action romp that will make you feel Armed and Dangerous, DRM-free on GOG.com.

The 25% discount will last until December 28, 10:59 PM UTC.

Release: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade

The penitent man shall Use Item On...

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, the classic point'n'click adventure starring Henry Jones Jr. and his disapproving dad, is now available for Windows, Mac, and Linux, DRM-free on GOG.com, with a 25% launch discount.

He hates snakes. He hates Nazis. He hates being called "Junior" by his dad. But he loves a good adventure, even if it contains all of the above.

This time, hands-on archeologist Indiana Jones is on the trail of the Holy Grail, but so are Adolf Hitler's lackeys. Tracking down the resting place of the last Knights will send both Indy and his dad on a journey full of cunning puzzles, spooky crypts, double-crossing dames, and a constant need for their unique brand of problem solving: improvisation and fisticuffs. Based on the last movie of the franchise (yes, the LAST one), The Last Crusade contains many locations that never appeared on the big screen, plenty of old-school action, and tons of well-placed references that may or may not belong in a museum.

Punch Nazis with your fedora on, solve puzzles with your whip, and try to keep up with the Joneses as they investigate Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, DRM-free on GOG.com.

The 25% discount will last until December 28, 10:59 PM UTC.

[h=1]The Goodbuy 2016 Sale is totally on![/h]

Ten of 2016’s niftiest releases and a limited selection of wonders on sale now.

2016 had its rough spots, but surely we can all agree on one thing: it's been a delightful year for video games. To cap it off, we’re putting ten great releases from this year on sale, alongside bundles of classics and modern wonders in the Goodbuy 2016 Sale!

Obviously, the hardest part has been picking just ten games. Through a particularly scientific process that may or may not have included copious amounts of eggnog and missing teeth, we have whittled down the list of GOG.com’s 10 Good Buys of 2016 (in no particular order) to:

INSIDE

The horrific, twisted, and morbidly beautiful followup to LIMBO is one of the most memorable experiences of the year and a damn fine puzzle-platformer to boot.

Owlboy

A endearing piece of pixel-art that warmed your hearts with its quirky cast of characters and unique platforming mechanics, which let you carry around those you care about.

Starbound

Recently updated and chock-full of fun activities and adventuring opportunities, Starbound is one of our year's most promising InDev graduates.

Stardew Valley

Simple, addictive, and endless, the absolute indie hit of the year (developed by just ONE guy) made us all into accomplished farmers, explorers, harvesters, and lovers.

Grim Dawn

Some here say that isometric aRPGs have a new king and that he's wearing some stunning gear, yields devastating weapons, and murders things with just a few mouseclicks.

Obduction

A spiritual successor to Myst from the magicians behind the original series, this first-person adventure transported us to stunning worlds, where the familiar and the strange collide.

Darkest Dungeon

Brutal and unforgiving, this roguelike dragged us down to the depths of despair before giving us a glimpse of hope in the form of a well-timed critical hit. Then our team died. Again.

Day of the Tentacle Remastered

Tim Shaffer's offbeat point'n'click reminded us of the art of time-travel thanks to the tastefully updated presentation now enhancing its impeccable puzzle design and timeless humour.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Blood and Wine

Geralt's last hurrah was a dark, whimsical, and occasionally emotional adventure in the breathtaking region of Toussaint, the perfect farewell to our battle-hardened, award-winning hero.

Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun

The game that single-handedly revived the stealth/tactical genre made popular by Commandos. The amazing Japanese setting and fine-tuned gameplay definitely played a role in that.

You can also round out your collection with a selection of classics and modern gems up to 90% off, including Neverwinter Nights 2, Homeworld Remastered, Rebel Galaxy, The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind, Grim Fandango Remastered, and Fallout 1 & 2, to name a few. Plus, scratch that sudden STAR WARS itch with bundles including Rogue Squadron 3D, Battlefront II, Shadows of the Empire, Galactic Battlegrounds, Knights of the Old Republic, and more.

Plus, for the first time ever, Blood and Wine, Hearts of Stone, and the The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Expansion Pass for the The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt are 40% off! If you haven't upgraded to GOTY yet, this is the best way to leave the year on a high note.

The Goodbuy 2016 Sale might not be huge, but you’re guaranteed to find plenty of awesome games to add to your collection. The sale will last until December 28, 10:59 PM UTC.

Apart from turning the fog machine off, how was Turok 2 "remastered"?

Not a bad game. I must still have the original CD laying around somewhere, a few thousand miles away.

Couldn't say, hadn't the time to give it a spin yet.

Coming Soon: Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice

A journey into psychosis.

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice a stunning adventure into a shattered mind, is coming soon, DRM-free, to GOG.com.

From Ninja Theory, the creators of DmC: Devil May Cry, Heavenly Sword, and Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, comes Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice – a haunting tale of Senua, a celtic warrior struggling with trauma and psychosis. It's a completely independent title that may surprise you in more than one way.

Learn more about Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice with Game Informer's comprehensive coverage:

gog.com/news/coming_soon_hellblade_senuas_sacrifice

Only the second Indie AAA title (after No Man's Sky) to get a DRM-free release on gog.com day one, if I'm not mistaken.
Could be another major milestone, if this does really well (and, as opposed to No Man's Sky, turns out to be a decent game on top of that).

looks kinda cool. With their console background I'm surprised they're releasing it DRM-free at all.

Yeah, Hellblade looks interesting, but a pity they don't have a Linux version. It's Unreal Engine 4, so they could probably do it. And what do you call an
"indie AAA" title? I bet games like Torment: Tides of Numenera took more money to make than No Man's Sky.

volsung;n8380610 said:

I guess GOG marketing team managed to convince them about stupidity of DRM.

Gilrond-i-Virdan;n8383760 said:
And what do you call an "indie AAA" title?
According to Ninja Theory themselves 'a self-published, self-owned Intellectual Property with similar production value of something like Wild Hunt, developed by a comparatively small-sized studio', basically.

Release: Outlast 2

Hide and shriek.

Outlast 2, the terrifying sequel to one of the most acclaimed horror games in recent memory, is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com!

Or maybe not - it's hard to tell when there's so much blood spatter in your eyes. But who needs a map, when you've got wicked instincts and insane mobility?

gog.com/news/preorder_strafer

I am looking forward to playing Expeditions: Viking. I really, really liked and recommend Expeditions: Conquistador. However, I wonder if there is a Linux version of Viking and if GOG will release it. To this day GOG still doesn't have the Linux version of Conquistador, which I got years ago from Desura instead.
