The rules, as seen here http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=672540131 mandates that no more than three common markers could be on a card at one time. Yet, as shown here http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=672540204 the game allows you placing seemingly unlimited number of those. Is this a bug?

That is interesting. I have the physical version of the game, and totally missed that rule about no more than three common markers per card. We usually stack em in the same fashion as seen on your second screenshot. Just roll with it perhaps?

Page 8 of physical version rules (attached) says the same as the game help text.
