I'm looking for recommended or suggested mods that will enhance/improve the gameplay experience of the game, but not necessarily adding new stuff to it. I'm happy with the current selection of weapons and vehicles, for example, but I do wish for improvements in gameplay, mainly in the category referred to usually as "quality of life".
So for example I'd consider a mod that adds a functional torchlight or night vision to the game, or a mod that attenuates the glare when entering a bright area, or something that simplifies organisation of saved ganes in the main menu (if such a mod exists); I might consider mods that alter the lighting in-game (I saw some that look photorealistic but I don't know at what cost to performance). However mods like new weapons or clothes or that alter the gameplay substantially are out for now.
