Mike Murrill, former Midway Games, Naughty Dog, 343 Industries / Microsoft Game Studios environment artist is now working in CD Projekt RED as a senior environment artist!

Seems they hired a lot of artists/env designers lately.( at least on the fly impression). And ND is at the top of whole industry, when it comes to art/tech skills.
I'm more concerned on people they have on gameplay/mechanics. They must realize the effort this will require compared to ( very simple and straightforward) Witcher.
Imo, that will make or break Cyberpunk.

Nah, I think it will be a great game even if it has the so-so combat mechanics we've seen before. And I liked the combat in all three games, but it was definitely the weak spot. CDPR does superbly despite their gameplay weaknesses.

That said, those of us who want an exciting John Wick/Robocop type gameplay of risk and action and, yes, a certain balance, we will be disappointed if we get the 6/7 out of 10 we'd usually give CDPR games in terms of the gameplay element.

i wish they release at least a screenshot or even tey say that they are in an advanced state of development

Totally agree. A new trailer perhaps or an interview would be nice!

Some (most of) these may have already been posted ... I'm to lazy to check.

There's no way they'd remain absent from this year's E3. Last year was understandable because the game was barely IN development and The Witcher 3 was still the main point of interest. But a year later and people are going to want to see something a bit more substantial. A follow-up to something as colossal as The Witcher 3 needs to sustain public interest.

a release date for 2019?
VOTE FOR 2020. Year of the game (well, not really, but it's still based on CP2020 in the end), Game of the year.

But Reds did show up on E3 2016 with Gwent, their absence from E3 2017 can be understandable, they might still not have something (i.e. near complete game) to show.

They don't need to sustain public interest if the game is still far away. There is no need to promote game more than one year before release. For now all marketing push is for Gwent, and we still didnt saw anything from single-player campaigns. So I doubt that they will show anything at E3, sadly.

I think that art will be the biggest bottleneck for them in Cyberpunk 2077. U need tons of high quality art for CP2077, which require alot of time. Much more than for W3. In Witcher 3 big chunk of art they could re-use because most of W3 are trees, grass, swamps, water etc. To make believable and dense big city you have to put a huge amount of work.

I really, REALLY enjoyed the video about the medical explanation and legal ramifications of cyber-psychosis.

Funnily enough it adds some additional weight to the lyric "Personal responsibility" from the song used in the trailer.

And the art department continues to become even more ridiculous.(in a good way)

Yes, art department seems very strong. But design department looks weak. Marcin Janiszewski, senior designer responsible for translating original pen and paper system to CP2077 RPG had left CDPR. Damien Monnier before he started working od W3 and Gwent worked on CP2077. Ryan Pergent, senior designer also left CDPR. Brad Lansford too. Design department looks weak as f***...

There is s legitimate worry there. I think I remember someone posting some job links at one time and those hired (and some in quite key positions too) appeared to have little or no experience with RPG's, but a lot with conventional action games. Add to that that CDPR doesn't really have a strong record on character and RPG systems to begin with... There is a reason for a bit of doubt.

I don't like painting devils to the walls, but... Scepticism my second nature, and these kinds of things have had the tendency to go sour in the end.

Or maybe their job is done here and the only thing left is exactly 'conventional action' TW3 got so bash for. It's also not like designers put alot of work into The Witcher series before. Yes, TW3 is a step up and allowed for more diverse builds, but it's still weak system. If the same team converted CP2020 rules to video game format, and they clearly proved that they're no or nowhere near as skilled as Tim Cain (of GURPS->SPECIAL fame, IMO, the latter is even better), then fare thee well.

Though I AM concerned too. The bad outcome is that CDP RED scrapped the entire concept in 2014 (before too-much-reveal-'fiasco') and put CP2077 to rest until when they're done with Witcher 3. But again, it's all lack of information that gives births to such concerns, and you guys should consider it too. Above everything.
