Connection Issues

I'm playing the beta for around 2 weeks now and the problem still occurs. What I've tried to do: changing the router settings on my own, changing all kinds of settings with my ISP, finding the „solution“ online, and now changing my ISP. The problem persists even now when I have a different internet provider. I'm getting crazy here. I'm playing on a relatively old laptop, and I don't wanna invest in a new one before knowing if that's the problem. I've tried pinging my router while playing, and it showed 0% packet loss (693/693) while I got disconnected. I've tried playing other games, Hearthstone for example at the same time, and I got disconnected only from Gwent.

I'm not sure if I'm getting packet losses or if it's something else. Is the cmd ping test accurate? It would be a huge coincidence that both of these providers provide a faulty service. I'm from Germany btw (fritzbox router).

What I noticed is that during the mornings I can play fine, even on wifi. During that time, I'm the only one connected on the router. Usually two people are using the internet in the apartment + 1 or 2 phones (both on 5 ghz, mostly idle, sometimes updates, sometimes off). I'm not sure if the reason I'm getting disconnected is because the other person is connected on the router (through wifi 2.4 ghz, while I'm with ethernet + prioritized + router is scaled full on stability), or because the servers are not that „loaded“ during those hours, or a combination of reasons?

I would really appreciate if someone could help me out. I don't know if the devs even realize how frustrating this is. You're in the game, thinking about the move and all of a sudden, everything ends. I realize it's beta, but I'd expect from the support to at least try to help me, since I invested money/time in the game.

I've discivered the same thing. Early in the morning (6:00-7:00) i can play with no problems what so ever. Only difference is that I'm from Poland.

What's more interesting, same time i have those connection issues in game, all webpages by cdprojektred.com are loading horribly slow, most of the time failing to browse at all. Gets ok if i get lucky after pressing F5 few times.Pinging gives me 100% packet loss. Checked on every PC in my home - same thing.
My cellphone was failing to browse cdprojektred sites also, but everything was up and running when I turned wi-fi off and switched to data transfer.
Sometimes even i cannot even maintain a stable connection with GOG platform.

Anyway, since if it goes bad, it goes bad simultaneously with the game, website and even GOG it's most definetly not a game bug. It's either me with my ISP having hard time reaching you, or your server does not reply to me with resonable ping. But then - why is this problem disappears while I'm having my morning coffe?

Give me some ideas how to investigate this problem further please, as I sadly cannot call myself an expert when it comes to network structure.
I've included a screen of my network usage graph. It goes up and drop dead every second. Maybe it's nothing, maybe it's something.

Cheers!

The only info anyone has at this point is that CDPR is aware of the issue and have been working on it for quite some time. I'm pretty sure it's nothing that can be fixed outright on the user-end. It seems to hit randomly all over the world, even on really fast connections.

I simply eat chocolate when faced with such challenges. (Game disconnects mid match. Eat a piece of chocolate. Game refuses to reconnect. Eat a piece of chocolate. And so forth.)

In 9 of 10 matches i get disconnected. it's driving me crazy. I cannot play properly

It's not that bad here but I get sometimes a disconnect message and a defeat before the first draw which is kind of ridiculous and of course I'm online.

Every time I create a new deck (for real or at tutorial) and click "save and exit" the game gives me the message: Network error... service interrupted. Goes back to start screen to login again or quit. After the new login at deck builder we see the "new deck" at list as invalid and zero cards in it. The real problem is... I deleted all preloaded decks before create a new one and notice the bug. And now Im unable to play because is not possible to create a new deck. After some tests I noticed something new... is possible create a deck with 11 cards only and save. Any card added after that gives the error. Any advice to makes me able to create a deck and play again is really welcome.

so the servers are officially dead?

It is almost 2 weeks now and I still cant make any matches because it tells me that there are no servers left..

Terribly sorry to hear it's lasted that long! Send your issue into CDPR Support, if you haven't already. Be sure to include identify Xbox / PC system specs. If on PC, include a dxidag, as well.

Now...prepare to be merged.

Welcome to the forums!

This is a known, random issue. Allow me to escort you into the party (already in session)!

I just had 10 disconnects in a row this is VERY frustrating!. I have on Xbox One and i wonder if the issue is worse with this client or if its just the game servers :(

I have been having a major and persistent disconnection problem during matches. I login just fine, but I am experiencing a lot of random disconnects from matches. Its extremely demoralizing when your in the second or final round of a close match, you have the cards you need you know your going to win... then you get randomly disconnected and receive an auto loss. The randomness of the event makes it even worse because you never know going into a game if your going to get dropped randomly or not. I sent in an official report but thought I should post here since its a recurring persistent problem that was not fixed on my end by a router reset, full computer/account reboot etc. I suspect it has something to do with Latency fluctuations and standards on the server end. While I have had some lag issues due to latency fluctuations on my end on occasion playing league and hearthstone, it never resulted in getting kicked out of the match and I was able to reconnect quickly. This is a problem CDprojectRED should make a top priority to fix before wider game release because if it happens to a lot of people, I can see this leading to a lot of folks quitting in frustration. If an admin wants more specific info, or there is any feedback I can provide to help feel free to PM me as well, as I am a devout Gwent fan and want to do whatever I can to help make this game better! (may not reply for next week but will respond when I get back from a trip)

Game is losing its "fun factor"

It is getting beyond tedious and tiring to continually experience the disconnect issues, especially when playing ranked games. It is impossible to reliably progress through levels with the amount of disconnects still happening, especially for xbox one players. It is even more frustrating when players will be "rewarded" for the rank level at reset. This should be modified to take into account other parameters, such as time spent playing, as for many players, including myself - we just get screwed over by the worst kind of RNG. I have an amazing internet connection (1 true gig down and up, dedicated fiber). I know I'm not disconnecting because of my personal network either.

This last disconnect I experienced, I was simply attempting to look into my graveyard while deciding which card to play next. BAM! Game locks up completely - ridiculous buzz from a locked up game hummed through my speakers, and I had to explicitly quit the game to get it to shut up.

Such a problem. Can not get into the game, an endless download, and nothing happens ??? No error or anything else, just a constant download. Internet connection is permanent without breaks. What can be the problem? Probyval goes through the game itself and through Gog Galaxy. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Fog

yesterday i was playing against brouver with my monsters deck. In the 3rd round i played a fog card which spawned a fog effect on my row only. it stayed for around 30 sec because my opponent was obviously puzzled as me and was thinking if he plays a card or not. Then after, it kicked me out and said that i lost connection. The only positive thing is that it was in casual and i did not lose rank points from it. 1st time it happens to me ( not the connection issue) and i already played countless of rounds in the game.

Hello!

This message : "A problem has occured with the opponent's client that s preventing the game from continuing. Ending the game.", appeared right after I passed a round that I was loosing and after I had lost another round before that. I won't post the specs of my PC here, because I believe they don't have much to do with that... After I hitted "ACCEPT", I got prompted that I've won the game, had two pieces of the crown in the "SCORE" screen. In spite of that, on the "DAILY REWARDS" screen I didn't have any difference of round won than before the game and was shown that I don't have any pieces of the crown. In spite of that... I acquired experience two times in the "EXPERIENCE" screen. Couldn't catch that last part well on a screenshot, but I guess that you don't get experience two times, if you haven't won any rounds, only for performance. I am attaching four screenshots of all the screens, mentioned above. Hope that they are of any use.
