My Opinion about PL & 2.01, (I still love this game)!

+
Very Hard playthrough, 95% achievement on Steam, near 1200 hours in the game, no mods EVER, around 6 playthroughs.

PL, 2.0. and 2.01 has characteristically changed the entire vibe of the game! In general, the game is still awesome! Even though I'm upset that my favorite mechanic has been broken, the other changes more than compensate for it. However, of the many changes, there are some that are kind of disappointing.

1) The abrupt voice change in the Scapel mission is saddening (lazy, and it was fine the original way).
2) Muamar needs WAY more alternative sayings. after a while, the XBD glitter joke gets redundant and BORING.
3) I love the variety in the "Just another story" missions, but that abrupt screen adjustment in certain car drifts is JARRING. It's not completely useless, but it's jarring.

[sidenote] I got into a highway battle on a Kusinagi with the back tire blown out. . . Not only was I happy that the Kusinagi can do 180° turns again (albeit conditionally), but spinning the bike to shoot while driving backward was FUCKING AWESOME!

4) The time limit to complete the courier missions is somewhat aggressive, but since you're not penalized for them, it's not really a complaint. However, after you max out most of your stats, it gets kinda irksome to get 90% Netrunner shards.

5) In the late game, you need to collect and break down a LOT of legendaries to upgrade cyberware. 999+ on all the other components and cyberware costing 200 just to upgrade, but the average legendary gun gives somewhere around 15-20 components. Tedious.

6) Money is definitely no longer a problem!

7) FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, fix the bug that causes the health item to get kicked out completely or replaced with another unusable item. Too many deaths and panic attacks from it getting lost and trying to find out how and WHY it disappeared in the middle of battle.

8) Car hacking is Godlike!

9) Melee/Gorilla Arms break after several usages. Where you can only block and push, but you can't punch/attack. I usually have to save and reload just for them to work again. This was my biggest difficulty in trying to 100% the solo skill progression.

10) I don't know what triggered the doors to the Las Palapas hotel across from the fortune teller to work, but it's empty. Apparently, you guys are still building the game. Maybe that's the location for the Aguilar fight. I'd LOVE that!

You guys need to do one more expansion, if not for more endings of the game, just to fill out the rest of the game. I love this game! So much potential! I have some more playing to do to get the other outcomes and finish the achievements. Even now as I ponder HOW you guys would ever make a sequel to this game to make it cohesive with what's been done in the original, I can tell that your team is starting to nail down the trajectory forward. It's WAY more fun now. More stuff to do between planning out how to approach the next mission. Combat is fun! A lot more immersive and emergent events!

Whether V comes back, or you guys do a whole new character or characters, I'm anxious to see the next game!

Otherwise, add more in-game non-mission content to break the emotional tension between missions (minigames and arcades), and do a reusable casino (to get rid of the pointless money glitch videos on YouTube). We've got PLENTY of guns, clothes, and vehicles. Do MORE interesting cyberware. The new tree and skill progression are satisfactory.
