Neck and shoulder seams on V’s model + other visual bugs regarding V

+
Hello,
posting this thread just to single out a visual problem that many seem to report in other general threads:

Basically V’s model suffers from very visible seams at the base of the neck and shoulders when wearing tank tops, seams are so bad that the neck looks downright detached from the rest of the body. The game has always suffered from a variant of this glitch but never this bad. Seams also break up body tattoos that happen to be inked on shoulders/neck. This is most evident in photo mode but happens in pause game menu as well. Glitch is present from 2.0 and wasn’t fixed in 2.01. It appears to be non platform-specific.

Other visual problems concerning V’s model (that I’ve encountered) are disastrous lighting when selecting big chest size and right gorilla arm only matching skin tone #3.

For all interested, CDPR support answered me this morning acknowledging the bugs, claming that they’re looking into them. I think it’d help them better understand the gravity and the replicability of these glitches with an ad-hoc thread so if you are having the same problem please acknowledge this post.

Let’s hope they’re able to resolve this soon. I have personally put my playthrough on hold despite having bought PL because I loved using photo mode and this pretty much destroys it.

Attached some personal evidence.

Hello everyone.

So, it's been a few months and textures of our protagonist still looks like they were messed up by some poor modding.
I've reported this bug many times, we've had 2 patches since 2.0v and still nothing. Mesh is completely messed up and this problem seems to be the case for every platform, PC, Xbox and PS.

People are posting their characters in the "share your V" threads, where you can see that bug occurs but players seems to be oblivious about it somehow.

Can someone give me a sign that you're working on it at least?
I swear the only reason I didn't started to play the new DLC is this messed up mesh.

Almost every single tanktop or any other kind of clothing that leaves neck/shoulders revealed has this problem, both for male and female V.

Everyone can check it by themselves. Just start a new game as a nomad and you'll see this bug during the fist scene when you're looking in the mirror.

EDIT: I've added @Eliwan 's photo from the thread "SHARE YOUR V! (KEEP IT CLASSY)" where you can see that the problem also occurs for male V.
(Hope you don't mind, friend ;) )

Don't have that issue myself, but I also have a mod that overhauls the male V body(aka gives him abs) so that could be why.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I was really excited to get back into the game but when I saw that the neck seams were back it took the wind out of my sails completely. The mod I had to fix it back before it was initially fixed causes the clothes to clip really bad, so I have to choose between bad neck seams or clipping clothes. I use the photo mode a lot so I just can't get back into the game until this is fixed, I'm really bummed.

Edit: attached some screenshots I just took. 3 without the old fix mod, last one with where you can see the bad clothes clipping that comes with it.

Yup, that's probably the reason. I'm playing clean game, without any mods.

Same here, pal.
Funny thing is, that this isn't something that happens for some people, it happens for everyone who is playing the game without mods.

Thanks for adding more photos, looks exactly the same on my side.

UP! I've made another topic about it.

And I'll put my evidences here.

I'm honestly surprised how many people just ignores this bug that should be fixed ASAP in such a big game.

Haven’t checked the thread in a while and was a little discouraged when I posted it and nobody even read it but I’m glad to see it has finally caught on, even though it sadly means that CDPR hasn’t fixed this yet. It’s mind boggling to me how this is arguably the most common, replicable bug since 2.0 and they still haven’t corrected it nor there is an outcry about it. On my part I was playing on XSX and just gave up (apart from this bug on Xbox the implementation of FSR has been a mess since 1.63 and they don’t seem to want to fix that, either), bought a Steam Deck and playing it there modded. Crazy that I had to spend $300+ more because of CDPR’s negligence. Surely won’t rush to get their next game when it comes out.

I can add here a similar problem that has existed since 2020 - seams on the shoulders when installing a monowire. Deleting mods and game check not helps, only deleting monowire.
Honestly, I'm horrified that after 3 years this problem has not been fixed. In one patch it is, in another it is not, but here it is again. After a global rework of skills, I can’t use it so as not to play as an ugly character.

Make sure to report it, I already did and they said they´re working on it, won´t hurt to make more reports about it: Technical Support — CD PROJEKT RED

As of the 2.11 patch I still have the same issue. Just went in, tried with neither of my clothing fix mods and the seam was there. The mod that fixes the seam still causes severe clipping in the clothes. Pretty disappointed.

Yep they have included the supposed fix in patch notes but I keep getting the problem as well. Really bad stain on the game’s legacy

I think this has been an issue since launch.
Ehh, sort of. In earlier builds used to look like white tape around armpits/neck but by 1.5/1.6 it was actually resolved. The version of the bug you’re seeing in the screenshots posted in this thread is definitely something 2.0 introduced.
