The Beast in Me can't get perfect ending?

So...
In Santo Domingo you're supposed to say "I'm only interested in winning" OK
Then in the final confrontation you're supposed to tell Claire to spare Sampson. And you get two cars. Not OK. Claire says she doesn't care and kills him anyway. All I get is her stupid truck.
Am I missing something, it's a bug, what?

If I recall, you'd have to convince Claire early to not kill him. Not see revenge so to speak. My friend that way managed to get both cars. Claire didn't kill him and moved on. She did hunt him though and didn't finish the race.


I haven't tried that out to see for myself because I told Claire i'd support her decision.

If you choose the right answer after the third race (not the last!), she will spare Sampson, even if you did not finish the race.
