I have been playing 2077 quite a lot this year , especially on XSS . It is my favorite game in recent years but i feel there is so much unachieved potential left in it so i have a lot of crazy ideas about its future , here's the list ( it's a very rough draft i worked on today , i intend to improve on it latter but i have to release like that , wink wink ) . Please move it in the Suggestions part , i cannot post directly in it , dunno why , thanks .
Bugs ( pointing them out while i am at it )
# V or J randomly randomly zoom in without any player input during certain conversations ( example : intro when Nomad V is in his car being held by the Sheriff )
# The animation to connect to access point does not display the hand cable during the Quest given by T Bug ( Kabuki Shop where you buy Ping )
# The walking speed is very slow ( holding a body - slow ) after getting off Judy's lair in the Konpeki braindance quest , the walking speed gets back to normal after the call from Dex and or exiting the club . Sprinting speed is unaffected . The same bug happened elsewhere .
# Given the 2.0 grenades are not looted but permanently tied to V , and given you also lose your grenades at the start of the Heist , the only way to use any grenades until your return to the apartment is to craft a rarity of grenades you did not crafted yet . For example if you had always used White Grenades until the start of the Heist , buy a Green Grenade template , start the Heist , lose your grenades and craft Green ones when the escape start . It is especially annoying to have no access to EMP grenades given the presence of a Mech during the Heist .
# The 2.0 health booster randomly unequip itself ( you can see it dissapear from the HUD ; maybe after looting new ones ) which means when you try using it nothing happens until you reequip it . That is vastly annoying during an intense fighting .
# Kerenzikov randomly unequip itself : you dodge & aim but nothing happen . You have to reload the game for it to work again . That bug was there as early as 1.5 and is maybe caused by Fast Travelling but i am not sure . Kerenzikov 2.0 no longer works with any SMG equipped with or without the perk "Like a Feather" . Same bug when dodging and blocking with Gorilla Arms and probably any other melee weapons . In general it also feels harder to trigger it after a dodge , the correct timing is not easy to grasp .
# Dialogues are slowed down when using Sandevistan but not during other time dilations events like scanning or when you trigger the weapon wheel .
# Some dialogues specifics to Police have been broken by the new Police scripts . For example when you rescued a lone cop from a Maelstrom ambush he used to say "he was not paid enough to deal with this sh1t" ; now he does not . Other similar ingame events have been affected , especially in scripted events when Police take the chase to gang goons on wheels (the police car just stop).
# One of the two Breacking Neck animation have no Breaking Neck sound .
Ideas
# In the lore ( and every cutscenes ) J is holding the Malorian in his left robotic arm because the Malorian recoil would shatter organic bones , but ingame the Malorian is wielded in the non robotic right hand . Please fix this by making J gameplay left handed .
# When shooting with an Handgun while driving a bike , V should be welding it with the left hand .
# Allow the creation of Left Handed V during the character creation with inverted animations , add NPCs being Left Handed
# The Malorian was a Borg Weapon for years but cannot shoot through walls anymore since 2.0 even though J can still wallhack when aiming with the Malorian . Another 2.0 change to the Malorian empty the clip and for J or V to reload when doing a melee attack with it . Both those changes kill ( one of ) the most iconic weapon in the game , given it was far from OP to begin with . If those changes were intended the melee attack should do a lot more damage or at least have more range to it , and base damage should be buffed ( natively or through a quest or crafting ) .
# Melee Finishers are cool , a similar system with Guns would make them ( and fighting in general ) a lot more entertaining . Given Melee Finishers use the Reload button , Gun Execution could be triggered when doing a melee attack while wielding a gun .
# The Perk "Like a Feather" could allow V to move faster when holding an NPC or body .
# When V gets up from his bed after the Sandra Dorsett rescue , the HUD has Cyberware Booting pop ups . It would be great to have those pop ups every time you gets up from your bed or especially during the new animation when you gets up from a Ripperdock chair .
# According to a commentary from Placide : "Viktor is V's Chrome Shaman" . The changes to 2.0 made every Ripperdocs have the same inventory and there is no reason anymore to pay back the 21K you owe to Viktor regardless of the central part he play in the story. My wish would be to have Viktor be V's one and only Ripperdoc : if you wants to make any change to your cyberware you must get back to him . As for the numerous ripperdocs which have became redundant by the 2.0 changes , they could sell cyberware pieces you purchase and either you get back to Viktor to equip those or it unlocks them permanently in his shop and you can equip them as you please .
# The bullet medaillon you "get" after the Heist doesn't make any appearance until the very last mission . It would be cool to be able to wear it or more importantly to be able to display it in your appartment in the same way as Iconic Weapons . The same can be said of other iconic items like Saburo or J Dogtag , the Flathead bot and other iconic items which are buried in V's inventory after pickup and never seen again outside of a cutscene .
# Please add an implant for V to listen to the Radio Stations while on foot ( when you enter a vehicle it override the vehicle radio ) .
# It is currently possible to equip any clothing without affecting your appearance , the same system would be great for weapons : equip any Revolver ? No matter what you get a Malorian skin and animation . More importantly it is extremely annoying to have to : Wait 24H _ Browse Shop Inventory _ Wait 24H _ ... just to have every version of Scopes for the players out there who refuse to play their Yellow Revolver with a Pink Scope . Scopes should automatically match the skin of the weapon or we should be able to change the skin of a scope without having to buy every color variation of it . Please make it also possible to craft Scopes or Muzzle accessories above White rarity .
# The 2.0 clothing system is a disaster .
# Weapons are worth way too much money when you buy or sell them , killing goons for 1 hour grant a ton more money than doing a 1 hour job . The current system as a whole force the player to disassemble weapons of the highest rarity for components you need to improve Cyberware at the Ripperdoc , and sell every thing else for money . The couple of thousands $ you make after a job are always outshined by the tens of thousands $ you get from selling weapons .
# The 2.0 clothing and junk should be giving a lot more than 1 component a piece , weapons should give less than 7 component a piece .
# Please remove sounds when skipping dialogues , especially foot sounds ( thinking of Adam Smasher in particular here ) .
# Currently the Tarots Cards served no purpose other than unlocking a plot route to the final mission , pushing the player to keep them on the side until the very end of the game . It would be nice to have a more tangible reward out of it , such as a perk point from completing the mission .
# The mini map is an outdated tool inside a game where we play a freakin cyborg , having a dynamic 3D "map" at the bottom of the HUD and way more onscreen indicators would be a far superior alternative than having to constantly look at the upper right side to understand where the mobs are or where you are supposed to turn with your 200 mph bike .
# Add an Energy Consumption system used by V , heavily chromed opponents and robots .
# Add a Weight system used by V , heavily chromed opponents and robots .
# Reduce Nerf to Accuracy from Alcool , add or modify a perk to gain buffs from drinking ( something like "Happy Hour : 20% Mitigation Chance when under the influence, if you gets Knockdown you stay a 50% longer time on the ground" , i dunno ) . Also give that perk to J .
# The new addition of fighting on wheels is great but highlighted how lackluster the animations are behind the wheel : starting the engine , using a manual transmission , punching out a broken window , ... we have none of that and on top of it the animation used to now shoot while driving is extremely basic which makes the whole experience feel unfinished .
# Allow to jump and hold unto a moving vehicle while fighting the passengers , remove the current animation to steal a moving vehicle by making it suddenly stop no matter the speed it was at . A good example of what i have in mind would the opening scene of Deadpool , it would be so cool to be able to do that ingame . Currently the passengers of a vehicle have zero animation , it is sad .
# Allow to lift , throw or kick (moving) vehicles . Currently there is the Adam Smasher animation and the guy fighting the Cyberpsycho with a mech suit . How cool would it be to do that as V ? VERY COOL !
# Magnify the letters used by the HUD which are too small , or allow to scale them up or down in the settings . Add names or abbrevations under the ongoing effects or cooldowns displayed by the HUD . Add a Text to Speech "AI" ingame which alert the player when important effects or cooldowns are ON or OFF (think of the AI in Iron Man) , it would up the feel of playing a chromeborg .
# Introduce a new Moral system with Frenzy , Fear , Panic and so on . For example when you flatline the big bad guy leading a pack of grunts , the grunts are more likely to be shaken off by that like running away or freezing in terror , dropping their weapons and begging for mercy , any stuff that would make them more "humane" . It gets also quite old every time you brutally murder everyone but one guy to hear him rejoice about it when the last 2 or 3 guys should flee in terror after you dismembered 30 plus guys .
# Add Ground Executions at a certain HP threesold with Guns or Melee weapons against ennemies on the ground (regardless if they were knocked down or zero HP), putting them out of their misery feels a little bland currently especially when they are jumping up and down when doing so . Add more animations of ennemies on the ground agonizing , trying to escape , get back their cut off limbs , ... Buff the amount of blood around bodies and body parts , etc . Anyway : please add more gore because its fun after a day at work !
# Remplace the current litle bags left behind by deleted corpses with real sized bodybag . Make the inventory automatically transfer unto V from a NPC quietly executed and put inside a freezer or whatnot instead of leaving a small bag behind . Or at the very least mark the position of these bags unto the map .
# Mark the position of dropped off weapons unto the minimap , hide those during combat (same with corpse markers). Or make the dropped off weapon tied unto the corpse : if you loot the corpse you take the dropped off weapon .
# Make Trauma Team "randomly" pop up a couple minutes after a combat to try to patch certain NPCs up (or during a particulary long combat) , the more (civilian) casualties the more likely for Trauma to appear.
# Add more flyers and drones to the game with specific variants used by gangs and not just police .
# Add a new cyberware for the Legs that buff Dodging & Vaulting .
# Add a new cyberware for the Legs that kick away the first idiot trying to melee you (put a reasonnable cooldown on it like 10 seconds to avoid abuse against lone Cyberpsycho).

# Switch the Fully Charged and the Bolt system . If you fully hold the trigger button you will shoot a Bolt that counts as Fully Charged . If you do not have those perks , too bad for you : you have to time your trigger to Fully Charge your shoots . Currently it is overly complicated to find the right timing to fire a Bolt , especially when some Perks randomize the time needed to Fully Charge so with the current system way too often you ends up neither firing a Bolt or firing Fully Charged which makes Tech weapons a chore IMHO .
# Switch the Quake Perk and Finisher Perk in the Blunt Tree . Unlike Blade it is a bummer to have to wait until 20 BODY to be able to do Finishers with Blunt Weapons ; also the Quake Perk feels way more like what 20 BODY should be like . Improve the speed at which Quake are performed by V or Opponent , it looks a litle slow .
# Make access to the Skills page more obvious and easier . It took me a couple hours before noticing its existence and it is weird to not be able to access it through the main menu .
# Add a fatigue system from not resting , drinking or eating for too long . Merge it with Energy System .
# Buff by a lot the Reboot Optic & Flashbangs used by ennemies . Apart from a White Screen for 1 second i do not see the point (does it affect accuracy ?).

# Please remove a lot of Fast Travel points : more driving , less teleporting . The drastic approach would be to make them tied to owned appartments which is perhaps a little extreme but the map is not that big to move through .
# Add little cutscenes of V taking the subway , the Delamain taxi and so on when doing Fast Travel (with the new area being loaded in the background) . It would add a lot more to world building and immersion than a loading screen : i really like the loading screen when loading the game with the lattest event being narrated , i do not like a fixed image loading screen when teleporting and with so many Fast Travel points around i do that too much .
# Add tons of mini events in the city that trigger randomly . Like Workers doing reparations , incendies , random murders , nudists & terrorists attacks , public suicide , and so on that would make Night City a more crazy and probably lore accurate place .
# Allow the player to do very (rewarding) bad actions . With the new reworked Police system it is the perfect opportunity to allow V to kidnap citizens for ransom , steal money from Vendors , raid a bank and so on .

# Add little cutscenes of V taking the subway , the Delamain taxi and so on when doing Fast Travel (with the new area being loaded in the background) . It would add a lot more to world building and immersion than a loading screen : i really like the loading screen when loading the game with the lattest event being narrated , i do not like a fixed image loading screen when teleporting and with so many Fast Travel points around i do that too much .
# Add tons of mini events in the city that trigger randomly . Like Workers doing reparations , incendies , random murders , nudists & terrorists attacks , public suicide , and so on that would make Night City a more crazy and probably lore accurate place .
# Allow the player to do very (rewarding) bad actions . With the new reworked Police system it is the perfect opportunity to allow V to kidnap citizens for ransom , steal money from Vendors , raid a bank and so on .
