Massive performance drop issue after visiting inventory

So recently whenever I open my inventory my game drops from 80+ frames a second to about 10 after leaving the inventory screen. This has only started happening the past couple of days and it didn't happen for the first 12 hours of gameplay. The only thing that fixes it is restarting the whole game. Loading saves doesn't work, fast traveling doesn't work, and reopening inventory doesn't work. This is pretty game breaking because it makes the game unplayable after opening the inventory at all. Has this happened to anyone else?

CPU: Ryzen 7 3700X
GPU: AMD RX 590
RAM: 16GB
MOTHERBOARD: ASUS PRIME X570-P GAMING
STORAGE: HDD

inventory and map screen freezes my game lile 15-20 seconds. any known fix? playing on windows on steam.

Can anyone inform please, this makes game unplayable. i dont use mods etc, i completed game once. i formatted pc, updated drivers and installed game again. but inventory and map freezes like 15-20 seconds.
