Suggestion: cooldown and/or penalty for using healing items

The ability to spam healing can make combat feel both trivial and tedious. The issue is compounded by the fact that healing items are easy to come by and cheap to make. A long cooldown and/or some kind of penalty from using a healing item would bring some much needed challenge. It would also be justifiable from a realism standpoint, since overdosing on medicine generally doesn't require particularly many doses in short succession.
 
Had the exact thought lately. However I thought the healing should just take longer. As in inhaling the spray should force one to take cover.

I agree. Instant recovery of a significant chunk of health shouldn't be possible with any healing item, at least not in combat. It should instead be gradual.
