The game probably averaged somehow. This is an obvious error in that case (saying ultra would work). Possibly the script could be misguided by SLI You have.
I'm no specialist about hardware, but if You wait (and remain more polite) I'm sure someone who knows his ways around those things would tell You what and how.

Yes. 2.0 is an earlier patch. Enhanced Edition is the 3.0 patch.
I meant that "new and improved 2.0" is a different thing than "Enhanced Edition". Which one is it?
Such prompt should not appear if you have the EE version of the game. What does it say on the box? New and improved 2.0 version (not Enhanced Edition)? Is it clearly stated on the box that it is the Enhanced Edition?
Is it possible that you manually installed 3.1 on a 2.0 or 2.1 version of the game, without the EE patch stage? EE is a necessary step between 2.1 and 3.1.
The link works now. To use the dotnet hotfix you need the game fully updated to 3.2. The hotfix has to be manually installed, it is NEVER installed automatically with auto-patcher. If you remove .NET Framework 4 without using the hotfix then neither the launcher nor the witcher2.exe will work. Once you install the dotnet hotfix .NET Framework is not necessary to run the game.
