2.1 CRASH when failing "don't damage vehicle" optional objective during El Capitan car delivery question

Today I was preforming one of the Capitan car theft missions, and I smashed into another car, failing the optional "don't damage the car" mission. As soon as I did this, the game immediately crashed.
