Are Patches & Hotfixes Automatically downloaded?

Hello, I am new to CD Projekt Red gaming. Really enjoyed the entire Witcher games series! I am now looking forward to see Cyberpunk evolve well.

I play on PC.

My question is how do I know I have the latest hotfix or patch? Are these automatically installed for us upon launching our game? Please let me know, thank you!

When you open the game to the menu, look at the bottom left corner. At this time, we're on 1.12, so if it says that, you're all caught up.

Most launchers (i.e., GoG or Steam) automatically download and apply updates unless you specifically go into settings and tell them not to.
