Constant Crash at launch since 2.13

ok so since the update ive been completely unable to play the game.
I was playing with mods - which i have removed as i have played many games with mods and understand that they will be broken when a major update is released.
So ive removed them and then verified my game files. game crashed when i get to the press button option and as soon as i press space that game drops.

i have since deleted the Archive,R6 and mod folders reverified everything and again game launches to the same point and crashes out every time. anyone any ideas on how to fix this and will i loose my saves if i uninstall and reinstall the game ?

I suggest to perform a clean-install of the game, just to be sure :
If you follow the instructions, you won't loose your saves, but you likely won't be able to load it or will encounter issues if you do (loading a "modded save" on an unmodded game often tend to cause issues/crashes).

ok I have done everything I can think of. All of the obvious things, updated intel and geforce drivers, clean install, multiple restarts, run as admin. I am super annoyed to lose this game over technical bs

The game does not have any overarching launch issues at the moment. Mods are still an issue, as removing mods will not address the reference data in your saved games -- that cannot be fixed, and will likely lead to crashes, depending on the mods you were using.

Have you tried launching a new game? If that works, you likely have your answer. At that point, your options will be to reinstall the same mod library, ensuring that they are up to date and the load order is the same as before...or beginning a new game.

This has happened to me on two different save files recently. One a few weeks ago, the other today. The first one, when it happened (and kept happening) I followed all of the prescribed methods to fix the issue: clean install, update mod files, validate through Steam, etc. However it didn't work on the save file I was playing. Would get to the point where it is loading the requested save file and crash at the 50% mark on the loadout. Didn't matter how far back I went on the saves either, kept happening. So, figured I would try a new game. Maybe something happened during a save and it corrupted the file?

So, I started another new game playthrough. Got it loaded up, did the character creation and started playing. Now, here's the interesting bit, and the common denominator in the persistent crashes: Prologue, and Act 1, everything is fine. As soon as I get to the Interlude, the crashes start. The first time (a few weeks ago), I was playing and got all the way through the Interlude, and into the start of Act 2 (to the point where you are in your apartment, and Johnny shows up to bat you around the morning after Misty brings you there). I saved after popping the Omega Blockers and settling down, and logged out. The next time I tried to log back in, the crashes started. Fast forward to today: Last night I saved the game at the start of the Interlude (as Johnny is walking through the building toward the stage). I did this on purpose because I wanted to see if my theory was correct. It was. Something in the 2.13 patch update messes up the base game as soon as you cross between Act 1 and the Interlude (my guess is at the "log in" screen that happens after you flatline). I have not tried to start from Phantom Liberty, instead of base game, to see if the patch messed up the loadouts there.

If anyone can confirm that their crashes happen after they get through Act 1, and flatline, before the Interlude boots up, we may have found the issue. Otherwise, I have data points that show that as the common denominator for my game files.

TL;DR: Crashes have been happening to my save games, since 2.13 went live, after I get through Act 1, flatline, and start the Interlude, or exit a game file once I am into Act 2.
