Have we always been able to do that? I was doing a gig for Regina and I could hack some of the vending machines for E$ and hacking components. Pretty sure I couldn't do this in earlier versions of he game.
Yes, some of vending machines can be hacked. And the exact same machines since release, nothing changed
For example, in Gig: Hippocratic Oath area, there are several vending machines which can be hacked (three or four, at least). Several ones in "Gig: Monster Hunt" area too.
