NPC Traffic: Enhancements

What is missing in a car system is having people who actually park their cars at parking spots, get in and out etc. All of them are just driving for hours.

More ideas based on that:

RedCab and Battle Cabb car assets are in game and are functional. Could taxis pick up and leave passengers off in certain spots?

Perhaps have NPC cars letting passengers out from car near night clubs at certain times, giving impression of group of people going to party.

For my needs as immersive feature, these wouldn't be needed to happen all the time at all or to be something that stands out. Just something that happens sometimes, actually barely registering.

Possible problems:
If NPC cars can navigate back into traffic (look for opening or NPC cars give them way, well it's Night City, nobody would)
NPC cars to reaction to player vehicle, in case V uses that spot, what NPC cars should and could do? Have them circling around the block?

another amongst many great ideas about NPC variety and interactions, of which we are still sadly lacking. I often look at this game and think ' hey literally dozens of creative people worked on this for X years, could think of anything, and yet within a week or few users and modders can make lists of hundreds of simple but great ideas which were left out' ...so 'what were they doing all those years?'

same for :

why are there no 'motorcycles in traffic' and NPC getting on and off bikes or bike /car shops/ repair shops
cops on bikes and in cars actually heading for incidents on the roads
couples never walking hand in hand
no one is having BJ/Sex at night in cars or alleyways
no corpo VIP's with drivers, bodyguards, or motorcyle escorts
Never see a flying car or taxi land to let VIP passengers on or off
kids are always alone, where are families?
no fire trucks, ambulances or rescue vehicles, tow trucks
no river traffic, river cops and no usable boats
no one has a gyrocopter/hang glider, skate or hover board bicycles are extinct? no one does base jumps off buildings?
where are the NPC umbrellas in the rain

+1 for these. They have that happen on some AV's hauling cargo so this could be feature, umbrellas in rain is something that I think may happen. Couples, it depend of what kind of world that is and how CDRP is going to portray things.

no corpo VIP's with drivers, bodyguards, or motorcyle escorts
+1 People like that use AV's but there could be some lower level corpos or politicians using Delamain and / Battle Cabb for these, as they are specified this sort of jobs and assets are in game.

With graphical fidelity we have, doesn't work with M rating.

Think game is trying to tell something.

no fire trucks, ambulances or rescue vehicles, tow trucks

Large vehicles like that may be nuisance from practical game play perspective.
For boats and stuff, there's lore CP 2077 specific lore reason, but I can't recall what that shard said exactly. Anyway, it's banned.

I am as disappointed with traffic as most players are, and some of the ideas on the list are great ideas, but I think you're doing a bit of a disservice to the people who made this game. I don't believe anyone was sitting on their butt doing nothing. The overall time needed for this game was just vastly underestimated in the beginning. CDPR worked hard and crunched to get something out on not too much later than their original release date. I am certain that they wanted to have better traffic on release (and would doubtless have planned for some of the things you've listed) as well as wanting a thousand other things, but there is only so much that can be done in a set time. The issues that this game has are due to a lack of time, not a lack of imagination or effort.

But that aside, it is incredibly frustrating for us players to be in the dark about the future roadmap and what will (and what will not) be fixed and improved. Without any official word, it's easy to assume the worst, which is that we will never see any first-party improvements to traffic.
