Original endings with Phantom Liberty?

+
Is there an ending choice for phantom liberty that allows you to continue the main story and get one of the original endings also? Oh can I jump back to core or main story and finish it before I finish PL if I have started PL.

Short answer is No. My guess is that although altering base game endings based on the decisions made during PL makes sense logically but not financially ( CDPR had to hire again actors used in the base game and spend time coding and testing the altered base game endings).
The other reason is that if CDPR made changes to the base game endings it would have infuriated the fans who have not bought the expansion.

CDPR could have avoided all this mess IMHO if they have not set PL to take time in parallel to the base game but AFTER one of the endings. For example V has beaten Arasaka but now has only 6 months to live he is contacted by mysterious government agent that there is a cure but he or she needs to return to NC and do one last gig ...

Finishing the PL story doesn't lock anything in the game. Even during playing PL, you are free to play other quests from the base game.
But depending on the choices in PL, you can unlock a completely new game ending, but it is just like with going to the Embers to talk to Hanako, you can postpone it.

Well if I am understanding correctly once I reach a point in PL where I get to go back to NC I can finish the main story to see those endings and then go to the point before you go to embers and finish up iPL so I can see all new endings.

Finishing the PL story is just like finishing Panam's or Kerry's questlines, this doesn't lock anything, just gives the possibility to have a new game ending. after finishing the PL questline (depending of your choices). I have

The final choice is to call Reed and go to the new ending or go to Hanako and try the old ending. So I guess you just need to save your game so you can go to Hanako and do any of the endings there, then reload and go for the new ending.
Note: I haven't played any endings since the PL release, maybe after Nocturne V still has the chance to call Reed, I have no idea.

Fwiw, the player can also call in for the PL ending, and then turn back at the last moment and do one of the original endings.

I did so... I was sitting at the terrace with Johnny, and oh my did I see fear on his face. And Arasaka would have walked free from our conflict, so... I just got up and went to talk Hanako before raiding the tower again.

Q: Why did you do it?
A: (a devlish smile comes to my face) I did it for funsies. ^^

Comment: Cattle prodding Adam to death is too much fun to miss out.
The TV host: Wait, what?
