using an xbox controller on a laptop PC and the buttons are just not working correctly. To crouch (B button) it works maybe 20% of the time, other buttons are hit and miss. I have looked everywhere on this issue with no luck and no I am not launching thru Steam. Any ideas greatly appreciated
Other programs with overlay feature can sometimes interfere with controls. For example, even if you are not running a game thru steam, if steam is running in the background, it can heavily mess with controls in some cases. Some could happen with other programs. So I would try closing nonessential background apps and see if that changes anything.
Just FYI - I was having a similar issue with an XBox controller connected to a PC. I have a Logitech mouse with controller software and I turned the software off, which corrected the problem.
ok with Steam you want to go to controller settings and over-ride them to use the xbox controller configuration.
