I have my track set to release on Spotify already, but its a cool idea. You might give the Guinness world record for most songs on digital album a run for its money, which currently is at 1000 songs
Yo everybody!!! I'm new here on the forum but been a huge CDPR fan since 2015. I made a hip hop song called LIFE OF A CYBERPUNK and now that the contest is over I'm definitely wanting to share it everywhere I can, also congrats to the winners today not sure when/where I'll release it but I know the fans will love it

you never know mate, with 7800+ submissions, there is probably plenty who might not have a distributor, but would love to have their music on Spotify. You should definitely tweet about it as well, maybe even comment on the CDPR winner announcement tweet about it, think you'll get a lot of response

Def into that.
I was also thinking we should all team up with individual characters and write 4-song eps individually until the next Cyberpunk installment and give CD Projekt Red authentic immersive musicians for their game

Agree. I need some help guys cause I got a lot of work in my hands. Who join me to manage this? What do you think? Create a discord server so we can speak with all the musicians?
It's just crazy where this contest went. When I started to work on the submission I was like "There're probably just a few producers playing that game at all. There's no big buzz around it, and the very few non-player artists that get notice of it by socials are not gonna submit anything special anyway... so give it a try.". Of course that changed quickly ... early submissions kept popping out from YT & co, and then BAAAAM, 7k entries! I bet many of you felt somehow the same in the end.
Anyway, it was really a pleasure to participate. It was pushing and gave me some additional reason to get back into sound production (a bit earlier than planned) apparently like it was for a few other participants. I haven't been posting a lot here during the last weeks and tried to calm down after submitting until d-day. But I've read all of yours and just can say thanks to everyone here for your inspiring words. This community definitely has a good spirit!

I'm totally in if you seriously plan to get something done out of this idea. The hardest part will be probably getting the legal stuff done (they all would have to sign a contract and probably ask for royalties if you want to publish them) and if it should sound like a real compilation ... getting all that tracks mastered is gonna be a tuff one too. I doubt anyone will raise his hand to master 1000+ tracks just for a good reason and some credits.
I have my own record label and can help maybe with some parts of that. Discord or the like would be cool to continue the brainstorming .
Another thing that could be combined with that idea is creating a radiostation mod for that "compilation" and also for people that just want to get their unrecognized submissions into the game (as someone proposed already before on the forum). I'm sure there are a lot of people that would participate in that.

Just found it again, it was @kite919 and @FatRandy bringing up the mod idea

Never did that discord server setup stuff before... and yea not sure about the name and all that really just picked the first thing that came to mind after some beers ... but to get something going:
Huge congratulations to all the folks who got their tracks into the game by submitting to the contest.
I had been trying hard here on the forums and all over the web with emails and other attempts to get my music into the game since 2015, to no avail.
Consider yourselves among the luckiest producers of art in the world. <3
May your creations live on to be experienced by generations of appreciative humans.

Might be a good reason for you to join the idea for a compilation and community radio station mod. When settled up right this could cross-promote and make your tracks finally get into the game (and also more listened to elsewhere).
The others are not any less awesome, I really enjoy listening to them, anything with guitar is just my personal taste
The community-playlist on spotify is a damn good idea, it would be such a shame to miss out on so many awesome pieces of music, so having a way to "group" them sounds really neat.
As for an ingame mod, I will create another thread here, that idea has been around before and I think so many musicians would love to have their song inside cyberpunk, even if it's just an unofficial mod, with a strong community we can sure make this mod huge!!
I'm on the non-winners list too.. too bad, obviously I was busy but right now I'm really looking forward to hearing the winning tracks!
Also my proposal has a title similar to those of a winner, my heart was racing so much yesterday reading! I should have gotten an email a week ago though.
Anyway, here's The After(life) Party, a 80's pop rock song.

Hello again folks. As already mentioned here on the forum, we are preparing a compilation and playlist of GrowlFm participants. Those interested, you can join on our discord page:
(Ask link in private messages)
If you are not used to using discord, please send me a private message and I'll help you with whatever you need. Let's make this happen.
XITJUNK! Where ya at? You good?
You were super active and enthusiastic on here and I know you felt like this was a bit of a litmus test, or milestone.
I briefly looked at the winner list and didn't see "XITJUNK" - I don't know what you submitted under, but based on the odds (one in eight thousand) I assume you're down here in the muck with the rest of us. >.<
I just wanted to point something out for you and anyone else who might feel a little let down..
I been playing the witcher 3 at night on my switch before I go to sleep. The other night I got to a point where Priscilla (Dandelion's "girlfriend") plays a show at a tavern and it got me thinking about eras and artists. For thousands of years you had to be the best in your tribe to be the "entertainer" or "bard". Then for hundreds of years you had to be the best in your region or country. Then for decades you've had to be the best in your language. Now, because of the internet, you have to be the best in the world. Being the best in the world is super unnatural. Personally it's not something I ever aspired to - I just wanted to connect with people; make people feel something. I just loved that I could make sounds and those sounds could mess with people.
I just wanted to point out that despite the name - "underground road to fame" - this is just American Idol.. or Eurovision.. or whatever your country's music game show is. Don't let it affect you. It's a job application at McDonalds or Starbucks or.. (I'm trying to be international with my references but what can I say, I'm an American. >.< )
"Refused" is "Samurai" because of a record they made twenty-ish years ago shortly before they broke up ("The Shape of Punk to Come.." ..not to mention when they were kids.. check it out - it's fantastic.) - not because of what's in Cyberpunk2077.. so keep on keeping on. "Fame"or "Winners" or whatever - it's nonsense. It's garbage. It doesn't mean anything.
