Crafting Problem

I am about 25 hours into V2.0 - (previously ~500 hours in V1.6x)
My game is a Virgin load, meaning a brand new install with never seeing a mod. I can upgrade Cyberware, but the only other items I can upgrade are Iconic items. No other items show up regardless of the components in inventory. Also, any weapon/armor picked up that is blue/purple/orange never shows up in inventory. I can save just prior to picking them up, I get all the indication it was picked up, but never shows in inventory (or weight increase)

Anyone else see similar or is there something in this wonderful game change that I overlooked?

It's normal. Noticed on the patchnote
"Apart from cyberware, now only Iconic weapons can be upgraded. They gain a higher Tier with each upgrade"

Thank you for the quick reply. There's so much "new" to read, it gets overwhelming.
Guess it's a way to get Liberty purchased.
