EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xC0000005)

Hello,
after 324h and the last time the gaming working fine being roughly 16h ago, since waking up this morning the game will crash non stop giving me these errors :
90% of the time = EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xC0000005)
Sometimes = EXCEPTION_ILLEGAL_INSTRUCTION (0xC000001D)
EXCEPTION_HEAP_CORRUPTION (0xC0000374)

I have an i9 - 14900kf, 4070 Super, 32GB DDR5 Ram.

Things I have tried =
1. Full clean Install following the instructions of CDPR.
2. Full GPU driver uninstall and using DDU
3. Set Physix to 4070 super from Auto
4. Turned off XMP
5. Uninstalled MSI Afterburner
6. Reinstalled Windows

I have spent the last 9h trying to resolve this issue. I may have forgotten to mention something else I have tried.

I am desperate for help. No other game has an issue.

Please help me

What a beautiful image, but dont mind that...

Thank you for the link. Sadly nothing there helped. Either it doesn't work for Cyberpunk or is too risky or didn't work :(

By the way.. you dont have to use Afterburner. New nVidia App can do the same. App is beta, but it will replace control panel.

Someone in Steam forum wrote...

--launcher-skip -skipStartscreen put this in launch settings and it solves the problem. You will have the issue with the cyberpunk logo still glitchy and slow on start but will then work fine.

Considering this closed. Thank you for the suggestions.

SOLVED!

with my i9-14900kf it seems that now after disabling Intel Turbo Boost 3 in my bios has stopped the game from crashing at start or ingame.
With further research it seems like this was already an issue with the 13th Gen i9's. If youre experiencing what i am then you will most likely have a faulty CPU and should RMA it. I am working on RMAing mine now.

I hope this helps someone else that is going through the hell i have been through trying to solve this.

Cheers

I have a new update. I would still experience crashes with the Intel Turbo Boost 3 off.
It turns out that my Motherboard wasn't setting the Intel Specified power Limits.
Changing them to the intel spec has gotten rid of the crashes for me now.
And I am running Intel Turbo Boost 3 again.

Hope this can help someone else out too :)

Hello, I have been having the same issue with CP and only CP. I haven't played it since late March but haven't had any issues after changing the file name in the game directory back in February. I tried playing last night and had the same error messages you did. My CPU is a i7 14700k, GPU Asus Dual 4070. I was playing with my new set-up with no issues.

My question is howdo I change the Mobo setting to Intel Specific power limits? I'm not very tech savy.

same problem, after 15-20 minutes of play crashes, all the ways listed on the Internet I used - did not help ANYTHING
I bought the game for 60$ and I play 15 minutes without saving to start again

by the way, the crash appeared after buying phantom liberty

what do you say gentlemen?

I would recommend doing a CLEAN installation of the game, following the steps outlined here step-by-step:

Please, note: if you are using mods or have ever used mods in the past, the problem may lie in your saved game files. Games saved with mods running will include reference data that relies on the mods being present. Removing mods once they are used is often the problem for crashing with any range of games. It's not guaranteed to cause an issue, but if it does, there's nothing to be done except reapplying the mods (so the reference data links to the correct thing) or beginning a new game.

I'd recommend starting a new game at first just to see if the installation is working correctly. If so, then return to your saved games and see how it goes.
