Personally, I think it's one of those millions of settings that get mentioned in google-searches that *may* make a difference but probably shouldn'tWhat do you guys think about hardware accelerated gpu scheduling, can it be the cause of some fps drops? Im using Win 11 and it is enabled by default, it should help with fps stability depends on the game, especially in CPU bound scenarios
Welp...for the number of times it has come up, I think we may actually have something along the lines of a memory leak here. Definitely can't be sure, but enough people are reporting exactly that effect, and it seems consistent enough.I do get the seemingly random longer term FPS drops that some people report though.
Maybe you already tried and/or maybe it won't change anything, but worth to try :Patch 1.6 made my game literally unplayable. 3800x, 2070s, 32gb, evo970plus. I had ~66fps in 1.52 (1080p, DF optimized settings + Ultra RT without sun shadows, DLSS Balanced) and now my framerate with exact same settings dropped to ~42!!! average fps. Thought that may be on my side, but i already reinstalled Windows, tried 3 different driver versions, nothing helped. Last thing that i made is compared this two versions, 1.52 and 1.6, so all I can do is just wait for hotfix, bc i know, that my rig could handle Cyberpunk 2077 with good settings at 60+ fps.
What seems to have fixed was, after reading some other comments on this, resetting the settings in Graphics and Video settings menu to default, then quitting and restarting (not sure if that was necessary but hey), then re-adjusting the graphics settings from scratch (for me that was basically putting vsync back on and choosing Ray-Tracing Medium preset).
OkLeKill3rFou, thanks, but yes, saw this tip on reddit, have tried it one of the first since noticed fps drop after patch and it didn't helped me at all![]()
Seeing very similar thing happening for me as one or two others describe, and it's markedly different to 1.5, with the lows being very noticeable. Like the OP, I'm using a 5600x (boosts comfortably to ~4.7ghz), with a 3080ti and 980 Nvme @1440p on Win11. For me, after a couple of days of testing, it's almost as if there's a CPU bottleneck, especially noticeable with DLSS turned on. Have done the obvious tests/re-installs for problems with hardware, installation, drivers, and shaders to no change. Only thing left for me to try is a full Win 11 reinstall which I'm rather loathe to do just quite now.
First question, and it's always the big one:DC9V, yep, nothing changed. I even installed fully fresh 1.6 game on clean Windows (with all necessary libraries and drivers ofc).
