On a tight leash still bugged

Started a new playthrough only to be surprised that on a tight leash gig is still bugged. It has been this way since release.

I cannot pick up my reward from the Dropbox because once I get within 100 meters the quest auto fails.

It reads as a completion for the padre gigs. It goes from 3/11 to 4/11

My question is will the quest auto failing stop the padre gigs from progressing

I had the same issue and fixed it. This quest would auto fail if I got closer than 500m to the reward pick up point no matter what I did. What eventually resolved it for me was doing just a couple of more Sebastian Ibarra's (Padre) quests while not going into the 500 meter radius of "On a Tight Leash" quest's pick up location. So after completing the Valentino Morgue quest I just tried again and was able to get to the pick up location without problem.
