I have no interest in playing as V especially since we had multiple endings. I prefer a clean slate. Also I prefer the game taking place closer to 2020, lets say cp 2047.
Agreed, a new character is in order. I do think a different protagonist for each game/story fits the Cyberpunk world betterI have no interest in playing as V especially since we had multiple endings. I prefer a clean slate. Also I prefer the game taking place closer to 2020, lets say cp 2047.
Is the new witcher games going be called Witcher? So does that mean this new trilogy you will still be playing as a witcher? I'm just curious
OR we can have a new character and not be burdened with all the baggage that comes with playing V again. honestly i don't think there is a snowballs chance we will play as V again, thank god. There is a way to make V weak, or 'level zero' again. They get the chip removed, the chip was what made them so OP. The chip is gone and they're cured, then they're back to level zero...The good news, V lives. The bad news, they're no longer OP. Win-win?
I would prefer to play as V again, but to each their own. My V's story ain't over. He hasn't robbed that damn space casino yet!OR we can have a new character and not be burdened with all the baggage that comes with playing V again. honestly i don't think there is a snowballs chance we will play as V again, thank god.
They ought to, after all Thronebreaker is called The Witcher and you don't even play as oneIs the new witcher games going be called Witcher? So does that mean this new trilogy you will still be playing as a witcher? I'm just curious

THIS. The endings themselves are so open and cliff-hanger-y that it would be foolish not to have V's story continued. All paths appear to lead to Mr Blue Eyes anyhow, so that HAS to be explored. There has to be a conclusion...right?That would suck and be a really lazy form of writing, leaving all of that build up underdeveloped. Why create so many characters and plot threads if you're not going to follow up on them?
Honestly, I won't say "all the endings are so open".THIS. The endings themselves are so open and cliff-hanger-y that it would be foolish not to have V's story continued. All paths appear to lead to Mr Blue Eyes anyhow, so that HAS to be explored. There has to be a conclusion...right?
The suicide ending doesn't count. It's kind of like a 'game over', but The Star and The Devil and Temperance are open as in V's fate is up in the air.Honestly, I won't say "all the endings are so open".
The Sun, for sure. The others not really
Devil ending open ?The suicide ending doesn't count. It's kind of like a 'game over', but The Star and The Devil and Temperance are open as in V's fate is up in the air.
Devil ending open ?
I suppose it's matter of interpretation
Devil ending :
- If V decide to go in Mikoshi it's like going in a "jail" (Because nothing indicate that Arasaka will even try to search a solution... In the contract : engrams don't have any official rights. And Goro also say that Arasaka don't care anymore about V...).
- If V decide to return on earth, Goro clearly say that V will die no matter what.
Doesn't sound very "open" to me.
Star ending :
I don't believe a second that Panam will manage to find someone which will do better (on a unknow technology) than Arasaka experts in Devil ending.
Temperance :
For me it's Johnny's ending. He give up its obcessions for the first time ever and leave Night City. V simply vanished in the Cyberspace.
Unlike the Sun, where Mr Blue Eye and V have some kind of agreement. So I agree, The Sun is open, but not the other ones.
They "seems confident". But like Alt said, they say what V want to hear (you would accept any answer which make you feel better... It's human). We don't know who those contacts are, and they seem pretty confident so who knows.

And those "contacts" certainly don't know anything about the Relic and how it work (a secret technology that even those who created it struggle to made it work and to comprehend totally).
In short, it's like if you where sick (a totally unkown malady which even best specialists that you already consulted are unable to health) and your buddy say : No worry dude, I know a doctor, he's great, he will cure you for sure. Obviously, this doctor don't even know that you exist and even less about the malady that you have... so to garantee that he will cure you, seem to be a damn shortcut.
Not impossible, but highly improbable if you ask me
Total opposite with the Sun ending, in which V meet Mr Blue Eye and probably "explain" everything to him. Mr Blue Eyes, failing to be someone you can trust (involved in a "brainwash" conspiracy^^), we know is a part of a powerful organization, which have access great ressources and advanced (or even unknown) technologies. So there are "chances", at least if this "deal" doesn't end like almost every others deal that V made
That's just why, in my opinion, the only ending which is "open", it's the Sun ending. The other ones are not
"After I transfer your construct into your body, you will die. It is inevitable. It is imminent. You shall live for about six months. Perhaps somewhat more"Even Alt is unsure how long V could live, she says 6 months or longer or something like that.

I'm really excited. I didn't think they'd announce anything this quickly. I think there is a lot of reason to be optimistic, both about timelines and about content of the game:
