"Skip ahead" prompt stuck on screen repeatedly

Hi, I haven't seen this issue posted anywhere yet, so perhaps an uncommon one.

I am getting prompt to skip ahead stuck on the screen after dialogues or cutscenes, often multiple times stacked above each other. Saving and reloading removes this temporarily, but after next dialogue chance is high for it to get stuck there again.

I have rebound the key to skip cutscene to Backspace and am using controller for driving, in case it might be connected to the issue.
