Stop the charge shake with Nekomata

+
So the Nekomata is a tech sniper rifle. Charged shot, punches through cover, preem... just one thing. Charging the weapon makes it shudder like a motherfucker, making it too unsteady to reliably hit at range. Whatever engineer at Tsunami designed the Nekomata should be shot. Just... not with the Nekomata, because you'll miss.

Yeah, the charge shake on tech weapons is annoying (and counterproductive, particularly on the Nekomata). I'd like it to go away entirely, but I'd be okay if there were at least a perk (probably in Engineering, with all the other tech weapon-specfic perks) to reduce or, better, eliminate it.

Absolutely Agree, thought the same. The Widowmaker even shakes less (may just be the smaller zoom factor tho)

It only does so once fully charged. Release right at the height of charge and you have no problem. Personally, I think it's great design that rewards mastery.

EDIT: After some research (see below in the thread) I figured out that Breakthrough, the iconic version of the Nekomata does not have the same behavior as the base gun. Nekomata starts shaking immediately, Breakthrough has the behavior described above. In that light, I would suggest that Nekomata simply gains the same behavior as Breakthrough, because I think that's a great system.

2 Countermass mods eliminates the shake entirely.

Wrong on both counts. - filmed today with 2 Countermass, and you can see My character has crippling Parkinson's right from the beginning of the charge all the way till the end.

That is not at all how it works for me. It only has the slight sway of aiming down sights before it's fully charged, after which it acts like your recording.

Maybe there are some perks or attribute levels involved?

Gotta be, can you give me an overview of your build?

Found the discrepancy. I've always only used the Iconic version of the weapon (Breakthrough) which apparently does not have the same behavior as the base weapon.

In that light, I'd suggest that the Nekomata should have the same behavior as Breakthrough.
