Sword in "A Shrine Defiled" Temple

I revisited the temple and noticed a sword stuck into a cinder block within the entrance of the temple proper. There is a loot icon but I am unable to loot it. What sword is it and how do I obtain it?

This is the temple in North Oak where you do the "A Shrine Defiled" mission.

I read this on reedit: "I just discovered something new about it. I've eliminated all but 2 enemies (one walks in/out of the room in which you upload the virus and the other is sitting on the steps. When the first guy walks out he'll lean on the railing facing the direction of the other guy) and the sword is still there. If I eliminate either one of them, they both disappear completely along with the sword."
