Vilgefortz draw : How does it work?

I found vilgefortz in a keg pack with something else amazing and I'm having a tough time choosing because my kegs aren't usually this great but so I was wondering...

does vilgefortz play a card by random or is it top drawn? like can be controlled with Steffan Skellen? Or is it one of my choosing (as op as that sounds the wording sounds viable enough to imply that potentially)?

The ability from Vilgefortz states:

Deploy: Destroy an Ally or (only possible if your opponent has not passed) an Enemy. If you Destroy an Ally, play the top card from your Deck. If you Destroy an Enemy, your opponent draws the top Bronze card from their Deck and Reveals it.

There you have your answer, he plays the card on top of your deck.

Do you think they could get the tooltip to reflect that? I finally found it saying that somewhere ton gwentdb and came to that conclusion, but in game text differs.
