World of Darkness game cancelled - just an idea

The development of a new World of Darkness game made by Eve Online developers has come to an end, so I was wondering if maybe one day, would you like to see another title in the vein of Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, made by CDPR?

WOD is a dark setting full of moral ambiguity and with a very rich lore. Bloodlines is (despite being released in a buggy state) a very thoughtful and intelligent RPG with excellent storytelling and atmosphere. Actually, it's quite similar to Witcher franchise in many ways.

What do you guys think?

I'm glad it died. Better to have nothing to play and unharmed memories than a mixture of nostalgia and recent bad taste that ruins the former.

It'd be interesting to see what Cdpr would to it. Probably been a million discussions on them getting the IP.

I'd still rather have the Cthulhu rpg though.

I see you lurking, Gregski. :p

If CDPR can reach a formal agreement with the current licensee of WOD and release the game DRM-Free on multiple OS's, then yeah why not.

But I hope they stay away from corporate leeches.

I hope not for an MMO, but for good single player games based on the WoD. It's surely a great potential project for CDPR to explore, if they have options. DRM-free is of course implied. I'm not sure how White Wolf would approach that, and to whom the rights there really belong. But if DRM-free isn't an option, then I won't care about it.

Update: Looks like White Wolf became a part of CCP Games: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CCP_Games
Since they never developed single player games (i.e. CCP on their own), it's not clear what their stance on DRM is. Probably it's possible to contact them and to find out:

Since they are independent studio, there is some chance that they are sane people and positive about DRM-free releases.

I'm not familiar with Eve online and Dust 514. Any DRM in them?

Some other games based on White Wolf's WoD however were developed on the money of external publishers, so because of that Bloodlines isn't available DRM-free besides physical disks (but Redemption is on GOG however). In case if CDPR can get a permission from White Wolf to develop some new game with their own funds (no external publishers), DRM-free can be a possibility.
