Some of you on the forums would have seen my angry rant about CP2077. I wish to apologise. I was misinformed. I want to tell every possible detractor not to worry as I will be shedding light on the gripes of the game.
First Person-
People seem to hate the idea of FPP as the only perspective as it renders customization meaningless. CDPR have put in cutscenes, mirrors and we will also see our character a lot in the inventory. They also confirmed a photo mode that will allow us to take screenshots of our character, hopefully with a ton of poses.
World Design-
Another gripe people have with the game is the map and the D/N cycle. One thing that I actually liked about the game was the D/N cycle and how during the day you could feel the heat coming off the streets while at night the Blade Runner aesthetic was popping my eyes. As for the map it does seem a little small but remember there will be verticality and undercity as well so that is a big plus. Vice City was a tiny map but very memorable.
Character Creation-
Going from the 2018 demo to the 2019 demo it is obvious that there are some changes. Gone are the detailed lifepaths in favour of three different backstorys in favour of Nomad, Street Kid and Corporate which are wildly different from each other which I think will give much more incentive for multiple playthroughs especially if it plays out how i think it will. I think CDPR said it will give you a different starting point.
Also CDPR made the character creation options smaller for the sake of a proper run-through and there will be way more options in the final release.
Soundtrack-
This is more for myself but while I do not agree with A$AP Rocky being in the game there are actually quite a few Rock/Metal artists in the game including Tina Guo, Rat Boy, Ilan Rubin and of course Refused moreso than Rap and Pop. I like how diverse it is too. Its not that I hate other genres but I think it would be unfair to exclude a single genre. Thankfully thats not the case
So like I said I apologise. The community is not toxic but my only piece of advice would be not to rail against detractors too much after all they are cyberpunk fans like us. On the other side it is a little impusive of detractors to jump ship, thats why I tried to clear up the gripes about the game as I nearly did the same. Research is always recommended, it could save your life. As long as everyone keeps a cool head we can prevent any division that may arise.
I am chipping back in
