[2.0] Unlocking access to Pro level perks (attribute 9+) from level 1?

+
It looks like if you do not spend any attributes during character creation, you can spend them all on a single attribute, after the start of the game (not limited to 6, as in character creator).

So you could spend them all on a single attribute to get 10 (leaving others at 3), and unlock access to Pro level perks from a specific attribute (needs 9), right from the start of the game.

And at level 6, you can get that attribute to 15 and get access to the Phenom level perks.

Not sure if intended, and if this is actually a bug/exploit.

It would be nice if they kept this in, even if it is unintended. Limiting point distribution in the character creator can be good for new players to make sure they don't over-invest in a playstyle they end up disliking, but this would be great for veterans who know exactly what they want. Given how scarce perk points current are, I don't think it would end up being too gamebreaking early since you need to level up for those points to reap the benefits anyway.

Looking at the lvl9 abilities, they seem like the basic starting points, that's where you get your first points for specing into a weapon or combat style of choice.

I say drop the unlock points down to 6/12/20

Reflexes has 2 exploration abilities locked behind 15 points: Mid-air dashing and change direction of travel in air.

Seeing as you can reset your attributes almost any time, I think it's working as intended.

Well, not every time. I think you are allowed only once.
I hope you're wrong about that (you're probably not, because I was thinking that was generous of CD Projekt). Having took a 6 months hiatus, I didn't know what to expect when I loaded my save last night. Turns out, I was in the middle of escaping from an apartment building, while rescuing Takamura.

In order to quickly jump back into the action, I had to reset my attributes to make good use of the perks that complimented my equipment.

Though...after doing the reset, I'm pretty sure the option to reset the attributes was still there...or at least I hope so.

If not, I guess I'll have to reload that save and give more consideration the next time around.

Nope, you can only reset your attributes once. The info box also, that appears while hovering on that point, says so.

I'm playing on a console and don't remember seeing that, but I'm going to take your word for it.
Okay, it's not while hovering over it, the warning shows up if you click on it, to make sure you really wanna do it.

Yep, I just loaded my game from last night, before reading your reply. I guess I'll have to decide whether or not, I'm going to keep my respec or load my save from before.

My build, prior to the update and expansion, was focused on having just the right amount in each attribute, so I could pass environmental and conversation checks. The rest of the build was centered around shotguns, assault rifles, cyber hacks and the mono wire.

It doesn't bother me, but I'm thinking that's not going to be possible with the new attribute / perk system, which is a good thing, as it'll encourage multiple playthroughs.

I hate the level scaling for attribute checks in dialogue. I literally can't play anymore, its ridiculous.
