Can't complete Murkman quest

So when I find the car in the storage container (the "Murkmobile"), no items show up. The shard is there and blinking, the boxes are there, however the game gives me no option to pick up the items. I can find no references to this glitch or bug on the Internet or in these forums. I feel like the only person on Earth who has experienced this. I hope that's not true, I really want that black Caliburn and would appreciate anyone who can tell me how to fix this, or at least confirm that it's unfixable and that I should just not bother in this playthrough.

I don't get it, I can pick up items anywhere in the game but suddenly when its in the vicinity of this caliburn they become untouchable. What's really frustrating is that I've done this with other playthroughs, yet magically it can't be done with this one. I gotta say, this doesn't inspire confidence in the quality of the game's design.

I hope you can help, but I'm afraid you can't.

Hi,
Which platform?
If on console, you can try to clear the cache in case : Xbox / Playstation
If on PC, do you use or used mods?
A mod could possibly interfer with the quest event(s).

Hi. It's XBOX360. There are no mods. I will try clearing out the cache, though, I wasn't aware that was a thing in console gaming

So I cleared the cache and I'm still experiencing the issue. I can pick up items normally everywhere else but for some reason inside the Murkmobile's storage container the game has decided it is verboten

So it turns out that I can't pick up any items that are indoors. Outdoor fine, but if it's inside a room or building, the item doesn't even register. I think my playthrough is compromised, so I'm wiping out all my save files and starting over. 100 hours down the toilet. Thanks for nothing.

You could also use the official support website mentioned above to send a ticket to CDPR support, for example here:

That being said, on consoles the options to deal with issues like that are really limited. Aside from clearing cache you can basically only load previous save games and see if it still works there. Progressing the story might in some cases reset certain issues when it comes to open world exploring. Sometimes it might also help if V just goes to sleep and skips time. And while I totally understand that you are very unhappy with the game right now please stay respectful if another player is trying to help.
