Gold card reward for Arena win - always the one you don't have?

Hi guys,
I had a few winning runs and each time I've got a gold card that I didn't have before. Is it just luck, or the game is set up to give you a card you don't yet have? What's your experience?

Also, did you ever get premium (transmuted) cards as a reward?

You can get duplicates, so you are lucky. I never got a premium card. I find it pretty cheap that the gold card replaces the meteorite powder award.
