OK. on PC. is the hotfix automatically updated into the game? I cant find any link to download the recent hotfix? Het is allemaal erg onduidelijk..........
120 hours logged into the game on a single playthrough. I'm starting to realize that they did not design the game with players like me in mind. If you want to try to max out your character, level up crafting and fully max out sets of legendary gear and weapons, then you're only going to ruin your save file. They clearly only intended every character to have a lifespan of about 30-60 hours with very little side content in mind. The longer I play and the more items acquired, the more unstable my save has become. I started a new character and have had no crashes as of yet, but on my main character I have crashes nearly every 5-10 minutes after booting up the game from a crash when I stick around parts of the city. Everything works just fine out in the badlands or places like Santo Domingo and Pacifica, though.
If you want to get the most out of the game and try to 100% on a single playthrough, the game is just not equipped for it. I'm playing on PS5 and it would seem nothing helps the crashes. I tried to reinstall the game, I tried power cycling many times, I even tried rebuilding the database and selling / dismantling MUCH of the collected items on my character just to see if it would help and I still get many crashes in places like Japantown or near V's apartment building. Markets with high density content like NPCs, stalls, smoke and other effects bog the game down so that it chugs and eventually crashes. This seems to happen MORE when you enter these areas very quickly by either sprinting or driving near them.
I've given this game more of my time than I think most who have already deemed it a failure and have abandoned ship. I am thoroughly enjoying it, but I feel like you are punished for playing it longer than other people. I am fearful that the game was only released with the intention of satisfying casuals or game reviewers who would attempt to finish the game as quickly as possible so that they would not notice the flaws longevity presents.
I am like you, I am wanting to stay on my first playthrough, and still am, with alot of hours into it.120 hours logged into the game on a single playthrough. PC user here, is it normal that it takes ages for GOG to download and install the patch? I mean it is only 500mbs but it literally takes hours for completion. The download is okay but now it says patches are executed, it got stuck around 92% so I had to restart now at 57%. Also, I can't play the game while it loads because then it is even more buggy.
thanks, but why is it so slow? Can I speed it up somehow? And does the execution of patches still require an internet connectionßYes, this happens sometimes. You just need to give it some time to DL and install properly.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ANSWERING. But Im still not there... i indeed bought cyberpunk from steam. But I only had to update the game once or twice when wanting to play the game, nothing from steam itself.... perhaps it already updated in when wanting to run the game itself? Is there a way to test which version of the game you currently have?Just a heads up, I am LOVING THIS GAME!!! Thank you for all of the hours, overtime, hard work, blood and sweat put into this.
Thank You for the hotfix!
Sincerely,
Azrael

on pc, if you use steam I do know that it is downloaded when you open steam, go to the game itself in your library, then you will notice there is an update. let it update (it takes a bit) then after it is done, launch the game and whala, you are good to go.
as far as the other launchers, I am unsure.
