How to get around relic?

Hi, so I'm in my second walkthrough (now 33h) and now I'm again at C.Plaza to steal the Relic. I spend all the time so far to do everything possible to get around this mission but it isn't possible. I really have to steal the relic again? There is no way around? Because I don't like the other person ( It was really clear for me after my first walkthrough to try everything possible that I don't meet this person again.

Has someone found a way to play further without the relic?

Honestly, I actually like the mission although this is more because I have loved the IP since Mike Pondsmith and RTalsorian Games first published Cyberpunk in 1988.

I do agree that the player should not be locked to Watson until after you have completed it.

I have found the "disable relic malfunctions" portion of this modpack to be extremely beneficial to the overall game experience.
