The game is not ready, in time, it is a Galaxy far from any idea of 'ready' (finished). And what is said, since 2012, is that everything in Cyber would have impacts ... it has none, in fact. I still expect greater participation from the CD community leaders in this forum, something that seems to be difficult, I also don't know the reasons.

This could be their Assassins Creed (1) moment, and come back with AC2 and blow us all away.

Let's lay down a list of what was promised to us but it was found missing from the game.

First off I want to say CP 2077 has made an amazing game, GOTY worthy for sure. That said I have been following the game for a long time and we have a lot of missing features. The ones they mentioned they dropped and while regrettable it's fine are multiple apartments and wall running (the two that come immediately to mind) I don't recall the following ever being mentioned as being dropped.

As has been mentioned nudity, specifically male nudity, is not in the game. They do have various bit attachments for the player character, but even those can't be seen when you take off your clothes or take a shower. Very often you end up a Ken doll.

New Game Plus is missing

As mentioned where are these one night stands? I've never been able to take a fella up to my apartment like in the trailer video.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned is the crafting. Crafting is now making choices from a list from anywhere instead of from a crafting station at your apartment where you can see the full breakdown of the weapon.

There aren't many romance options for Gay V there is only one
Kerry
and he's awful. Arguably there are many straight male V options and at least one straight female V option,
River Ward
who is literally the best romance option in the game. Incredibly well done. If you're going to have just one option they did an amazing job with that one. Gay V isn't as lucky at all. I could go on.

Now I do not want to diminish what CDProjektred has done. They have made a great game. Even in spite of the bugs and crashes, but they did not deliver the revolutionary game they had promised. They have fallen far short of setting a new standard in the RPG genre and I'm very sad to see that. Red Dead Redemption 2 is currently the Gold Standard.

CDRP assumes that it delivered something unfinished to your audience, but you insist on saying or pretending that it doesn't exist, really?

I would love to respond to you, however your sentence does not make sense. Please elaborate. What did I say that you take issue with?

*Can't change your body, like really, you sold this game saying that the customization would be great and all, but besides the creation of the character, you can't even change your hair in game

*Food vendors doesn't sell what they should (like the woman on the video that should have fried shrimps from a great Aqua-farm but instead she sells...FRUITS. COME ON!!!

*Fps drops drops in weird places like in the middle of the desert where there is nothing around me, like the Aldecados camp

*All the food you found have the same two status effects, heal and stamina. (Well there is alcohol too, but whatever)

*They said that it would have 1000 NPCs with daily routines, but since I've started the game, I see the same person cuffed on the ground outside V's apartment downstairs, the same couple of cops in the in the food vendor having the same conversation outside the building close to the elevator. the same cop with two people in the stairs up ahead

I think its pretty obvious that the 20 day release delay was so they could crunch to cut out as many things as possible to get things somewhat playable on old ps4/xbox and still be able to play a full "game".

Destructible environments are gone, NPCs have been slimmed down so much i'm surprised they don't just stand still and never move. there is no driving AI. enemies won't chase you out of a small range. cops don't chase you at all, they just spawn next to you and murder you in 3 seconds before you can even react.

Essentially, the game is Borderlands, GTA5, Watch Dogs, and Hitman all wrapped into one, it borrows a lot of each game's main mechanics but does none of them exceptionally well. But hey, we have a 20 hour on-rails story you can rush through.

The game world is censored and I don't see this ever changing. We live in woke society now and we let agenda driven people who don't even play these type of video games tell us what we are allowed to see in them. Want to bang a young smoking hot escort in the game? Too bad, chauvinist pig, you get middle-aged masculine chicks that are mostly covered up. Want an overpowered dildo katana that makes lightsaber-esque vibration noises? Hilarious! We got you covered.

I've got about 60 hours of playtime going of mostly doing side content and i leave each play session feeling like there's something amazing buried under all the repetitive "get past these 3-12 guys to get to the X on the map" side "missions" but then the more I read here and hear from other sources, aside from story expanding DLCs that'll maybe pack new armor and weapon for an already easy game, this is all we got. new patches will bring stability and performance fixes for old shitty consoles first and foremost.

Reading through everyone's list truly makes me sad. No way 10% of what has been asked on this thread will be in game 12 months from now.

Not 10%.

It will take until March to get the game actually stabilized on last gen and PC. I doubt we see PS5 and Series X versions before August. And maybe some free DLC by next Christmas. Damn shame IMO

I'm in game development and I get that feature sometimes get cut but the things that are missing in this game are what got me excited about it in the first place. I dont know how your going to manage to bring those features you promised back in, because dam that a lot of work. Maybe Cyberpunk 2, if that's a thing. The crowd AI and a decent wanted system with cop chases it something that should of been done in early development. This lazy pedestrian walking around and cops spawning in is something you see from a small indie game. I love the world you built and the lore, I was expecting what I saw in the demo videos to be true to representation because out of all the fucken crooked studios out their, I thought CD Project Red was the good one that show what they will deliver but this lost some trust. All in all you did a great game I just wish it was held back longer and we got what we were shown.

I didn't follow closely on promises and interviews, because I always think they're useless, but it seems the leaks about ex-devs saying that they literally had 1 year to assemble the game isn't an exaggeration.

Unfortunately all the dev leaks about TW3 and Cyberpunk were true. Granted it mattered much less with the prior game because it turned out to be great, but the devs anonymously warned people about the state of this game on multiple occasions. All of it came to pass.

Are you simply underestimating what every planet says about the game, the state of the game? Something assumed even by the CD. The game is good, it has potential, but it is a galaxy away from anything that mentions the word 'finished'.

There was a lot promised but wasn't delivered. If they can't implement a simple "Walk" toggle, I'm shocked they've been able to implement anything else.

This is not the developers faults. Being a software programmer myself, you have a lot of passion in your work - and when something works correctly or exceeds your expectations as a developer, there is no better feeling. Executive management, investors and marketing teams have no semblance of it.

The blame is on the people that create this type of culture in our games industry. CDPR liked to tout that they are "nothing like the rest" and are to be held as a shining example of how a company should behave in the games industry when in fact that are in all likelihood worse than the rest. I mean, who blatantly lies to their consumer about their product? I'll tell you who....

A company that loses 30% stockprice in a single day.

One thing that really annoys me is that I refuse to accept that cyberspace was originally planned to be that lame or not be used. Not to mention how dull and borring quickhacking is. There were plenty of ways to make it more fun, deus ex hacking is way better than the garbage of CDPR. Cyberspace could have been cool if they did something like shadowrun returns, but nope, went for bad acid trip junk which seriously makes me quesitons the quality of the devs they hired.

I also suspect there was a space station part of the mission that also got scrapped if you watch the trailer of V on a shuttle flight and the guy frying in the background. Might still show up as a DLC.

You still haven't quoted me. As I didn't say the game wasn't a buggy mess. Only that it is a very good game with way too many missing features of which I listed several that irritated me.

True, but that does not negate the fact that they over promised and under delivered. Doubtless thanks to this unethical tactic they have generated many more sales than if they were more conservative with their expectations. They advertised a game that would be the new gold standard. Instead they provided a buggy status quo.

Yes, but the CD will incorporate many things that have been cut from the current version.

Guys, I'm dead serious: is it really possible for the devs to actually add these fratures with their mega patches?
Because if that means I'll have to wait another year, I don't care: CDPR, if you're reading this, DO IT!
EVEN IF IT TAKES YOU 2 MORE YEARS, I DON'T CARE: JUST DO IT AND GIVE US THE GAME YOU PROMISED US, BECAUSE WE STILL BELIEVE IN YOU!

I do love the game, it has its own charm. But I also agree there are many features which are not included.

So after the excitement I had on my first (rush) play through, I'm doing the second round. Gotta say the disappointment is growing..

The two particular videos themselves didn't over promised - in fact they were transparent and clearly stated that it is subject to change. And it was changed at the end. Guess who is responsible for hyping themselves up before actually seeing the real product yet? I think we both know the answer to that.

Imagine someone who didn't actually follow any of the "promises" over the years. Do you think they would actually feel "lied" to that there are "missing" features in the game?
