Microsoft buys Zenimax for $7.5b

Microsoft has a much bigger push for quality over just putting something out no matter how broken it is, If this purchase was pre FO76 it likely would of been pushed back another 3 or 4 years if not just outright killed given all the bugs and anticonsumer bs they pulled.

Whether they care about quality in their own walled garden is irrelevant, if the whole thing is anti-competitive. Besides, it's natural for quality to only degrade, as the level of monopolization grows. Monopolists don't care about quality because users have less and less choice but to use them. Quality is driven by competition, not by market consolidation.

if that was true Fallout 76 wouldnt of been a pile of horse crap. Anthem would of never seen light of day

Microsoft honestly had no other choice in this competition. Sony has done SO WELL with the studios they have acquired, but what Microsoft will have to mimic is the creative freedom they give their studios. Yes, they'll need to impose harsher deadlines but that creative freedom is what allowed Barlog's team to make GoW what it is and Miyazaki to craft his vision in Bloodborne.

Plus, Microsoft is having all of their titles on PC as well as Xbox allowing more ways to play as a whole.

I heard Elder Scrolls 6 and other Bethesda games might be exclusives but Idk since Phil is not elaborating on what he said. Honestly, what he said is just confusing. Maybe. some of these game might be exclusive for a certain period of time? I think that was most likely what he was implying. But still its in the air what he said. Very contradictory.
