If you are on the quest (Don't Fear) The Reaper, and you are tasked with fighting until you get an access card, you may be tempted to quick hack the elevator instead and set it to friendly mode.
The quick hack works. You are able to take the elevator. However, the quest does not progress. You will not be able to complete the quest until you fight in the lobby and secure an access card, so don't bother. When you get to the bottom, there will be no opponents spawned. You can simply walk around and bring up the mainframe access out of the floor as though the quest was proceeding, but the game will not allow you to proceed.
