Well, hello everyone. It's amazing how much this community grew up this last week. Everyone is taking their ideas, opinions, critics, etc. And posting everything so the devs can take the feedback and bring life to this incredible game. And, well, I also have something I think it would be awesome if they implement this into the gatme.
So, what am I talking about?. This Radio System its been in other open world games, like GTA, Fallout, Ghost Recon: Wildlands (just to name a few of them). Obviously you will listen to the variety of music when you are taking a ride in your car, bike, etc, I think the soundtrack its one of the most important things that defines a good game, but I'm not trying to talk about the soundtrack (I know they will make a good selection of music, the last trailer proves it, Hyper is amazing. Also, there's another thread for you guys to talk about the soundtrack). I'm talking about the cool things you could do with the radio.
Ok, let's say you're listening some good rock, everything normal, but suddenly it stops and a news report kicks in, some gang members are starting a shooting in a place near you. Then a notification appears in the HUD saying you have a new side mission. There you have it, not only you have great mechanic with the radio, you also push the gamer to stay alert. I love when a game have small things like these.
Other thing I love it's when you've done a big mission, a mission that changed something in the game, then you hop in your car and everyone it's talking about what you just did. Hearing the media and DJs thoughts about that event its just cool.
And something I love from Fallout it's that you can get some secret missions with the radio. Let's say you found a random file surfing the net that leads you to a X part of Night City. You go there, but there's nothing interesting. Search the whole place, but still nothing. Then you go to the radio, and search in every radio station, and there, in one of those dead channels, some kind of cryptic file pops in your "database". You decrypt the fIle and then leads you to another place where you find a rare item. I don't know, the radio have so much potential, its a shame that some other games don't use it properly.
So, what do you think guys? Should this be a thing? Or it's just a silly mechanic?
