Game not launching

Game not launching

Just downloaded the game yesterday and haven't been able to launch it yet. I click play, the "Preparing to Launch"/First time setup prompt appears, the game runs, synchs, then nothing happens. I've downloaded the 2013 C++ files, verified, and reinstalled. When I launch from the .exe file it refers to a missing dsound.dll file. Not sure what to do.

Sorry you haven't been able to launch it. That's not very immersive, at all.

1.) Can you post your specs?

2.) Windows version? (Please, make special note if you're using Windows 10 Creator's Update.)

3.) Complete install path, beginning with drive letter.

4.) Set witcher3.exe to "Run as administrator".

5.) Disable any and all mods.

6.) Disable any anti-virus / -spyware / -malware.

7.) At that point, try to run the verification through Steam again.
