20 Improvements/Changes I'd Like To See (feel free to add your own!)

+
IDK if it only me, but I was realy let down about the takedowns, I only saw 2 animation, in the Cyberpunk 2077 Gameplay Reveal — 48-minute walkthrough ( I know it was 2 years ago and work in progress ) there was this cool animation where V shot a scav in the back of the head, and hide the body in the water in 1 animation, but I need to grap a person before I can kill them just feel weird, and it is just a snap neck animtaion or push a head on the surfes of a box.

it was pre-rendered alpha build, very heavily scripted. Look how female V looks something you would see in holywood movies super detailed life like high textured gorgeous lady, and look at her in actual game release, downgraded so that game could run on more PC setups

and also

when i saw 2018 trailer 40 min gameplay, i know its scripted and pre-rendered, but they had ideas, i saw female V waking up in her apartment and some dude leaving her room after overnight sex

i thought holy shit i will be able to call on my phone escorts and prostitutes to my apartments and pay for overnight sex. After good mission good reward

Expanded character customization (lack of ability to set both sets of bits is kinda awkward in a highly advanced cyberfuture where bodymods are commonplace.

Greater AI interaction: AI don't really respond to you just taking their stuff, it's really immersion breaking. Something similar to Deus Ex (or even Bethesda RPGs would be great.)

There are so many amazing places in this game and I'd like it to be easier to revisit them. I found this fantastic record store "Time Machine" by chance but it's labeled as "Junk Shop" on the map… not really inviting. I'd really like to see coordinates on the map, and maybe store names?

Please CDProjekt RED developers PLEASE ! i love your game regardless of bugs, but whenever you have time would you kindly add few side activities and minigames, i love Yakuza series they make tons of romance, business and entertainment activities.

I would like three things:

1) The ability to remove all implants (except the plot chip, obviously)
2) Fashion Cyberware, like synth skin and tech hair. There doesn't appear to be ANY Fashionware in the game whatsoever.
3) A happier ending, where V is
not killed by Alt via use of Soulkiller on V. Every single ending involves the original V dying and being replaced by a copied engram - the only choice you have is whether the copy of V or the copy of Johnny is copied back into the original V's brain. It's an incredibly bleak story and currently the 'best' ending is simply to commit suicide before the final mission arc begins. It's literally the only option V has to die on their own terms.

Might be just me, what i would really like, especially if you get special Cyberware parts.... Gorilla hands/legs/mantis arms, etc

More personal Cut Scene, maybe talking little bit more about the Cyberware part/hint/tip how to use or what new thing you can do with them.

I just think when your replacing/adding cyberware to your body, and it major change, Make it more personal, just like when you get your new eye at the start of the game.

"ahh you going we gorilla hands okay, step into the chair" Gona strap you down, and put you under little bit. Hows it feel? here a brick, try closing your grip on it . Hmmm that seems little bit sensitive, let me adjust little bit. Try it now. Better? Just be careful with your handshakes from now on.

I just think stuff like this would make it more awesome, real, especially if you set Cyberware unique pieces each one coming from different doctors/ their own flair on it.

Of course option to skip it, if you might had seen it already. Just thought this would really improve immersion into the world.

mine aren't too serious (, kinda unrealistic) and probably will stay unnoticed but:
1) it would be kind of cool for the music inside vehicles to start at random points (radio is not supposed to wait for V to get inside of their car just to start a song) / mb its just a ps4 thing
2) flag created items as undismantable or make basic crafting components cheaper to sell (my hobo-v had already made a fortune just on selling magically multiplying scraps)
3)mb some dude to repair your car for actual money, I feel sad for those house elves that do it every time I call my ride
4) it's kind of noticeable that most of enemies can't leave their designated areas (I get the feeling, but mb they could come out for a bit and then return?)
5) most of gang members chilling around the block could take longer to get agitated, rn they're getting annoyed with V simply breathing
6)maybe add metro back? (obviously it won't serve any specific purpose at this point (except making the city more lively??) , but public transport is too cool to keep out)
or at least some running people
(it's almost like noone in nightcity works, ever, everyone just walks around their home or gets out for a chill ride, not including those few unfortunate souls that are forever stuck behind a foodstand)
7)leg cyberwear could be somewhat visible?? rn im double jumping just by sheer strength of my clapping asscheeks
8)more phone messages. mb some fun characters to send em (like those cameo peps, whom I found absolutely delightful!)). moogle-mail from psp ff dissidia kind of deal, but it's Jessy Cox talking about his new raging erection.
9)talking about raging erections, mb a couple of new partners? i get that Kerry is an absolute legend and i feel honored for being allowed to sleep with a recurring character, but he's almost a millennia old? it's like having an affair with your favorite AC/DC member, but he ignores his numerous children and just started his own makeup channel
10)paintjobs. for guns, for cars, for v's life.
11)a portable music player would be nice too and/or a vinal one for your apartment (you could even keep tracks as a collectible, considering they are already scattered around the city)

i won't talk about barbers, adequate shops or pachinko machines
cause everyone else had already mentioned them, but yes, they are desperately needed (v doesn't have literally anything he does in his spare time, mb streetbrawling and alcoholism 🤙, but there isn't anything chill "to return to", like a baseball machine he goes to rewind to, or some homeless men playing checkers idk)

Many more clothes and styles. There are a bunch of outfits that NPC's wear that don't appear to be available for purchase. I've visited all the clothing stores several times each and mostly get the same things everywhere. No real organization for outfits in places you'd think would have standards (like corporate plaza selling trashy streetwear). I would really like much more than what we currently have. Also a barber.

Romance dates. I've always found it strange that you only get one steamy exchange with the character your interested in but you can pay prostitutes as many times as you wish. It doesn't need to be elaborate. Just make it simple as needing to unwind and so let's go grab a bite to eat, a couple of drink, dancing and then head back to the apartment. It just breaks the immersion for me at least.

With regards to 3,
wish they had more options than just dying. I have heard that most lifepaths don't even have much difference. I don't want the same outcome as everyone else. If so, I'd rather not have the illusion that I ever even had options, just go full blown who V is suppose to be then :/ but that's just my opinion. Still wish we didn't have to just die...

Trying to be realistic.

For me:

1. Slightly bigger enemy/projectile hitboxes. As it stands it's all too common to see shots whiff past enemies that really should have hit.

2. Nudity restored. Apparently GOG has no censorship, but Steam has my character prudishly wearing shorts in the shower.

3. A mass sell/dismantle option for unequipped items.

4. The ability to customize map/ui colors. I really don't like that saturated red on my OLED.

5. Significant improvements to optimization and performance. The game is pretty, but it's not Crysis on release and certainly shouldn't run as poorly as it does.

6. The ability to change body type/height etc. on our player model.

7. Better pathing on the auto-guide. I've had it run me into concrete walls before.

8. Naturally, a lot of bug fixes. Sorry, Mr. levitating dude in the Nomad starting area.

9. The ability to turn AA off entirely.

10. The ability to change character appearance after creation.

11. Perhaps a mild tweak to the hp of standard enemies? As it stands they are bullet-sponges to make Destiny monsters blush, and far too many fights have been me and my opponent standing still shooting each other. Failing this, a way to increase damage taken as well as damage done.

12. The ability to turn off the civilian kills. Far too often I've had the cops after me because a dumb civvie a block away caught a stray bullet intended for a bounty target.

13. Car handling improved for mouse/keyboard. As it stands it's like trying to drive a golf-cart on an ice rink.

14. Melee weapons confer an increase to evasion/armor.

15. More variety in loot combined with a reduction to how much items sell for. Made over 20,000 before I did the first major story mission.

16. An option for increased gore and dismemberment. Things feel a lot more subdued than the initial videos.

17. A skill that allows us to simplify the hacking minigame. Sometimes I'm just not in the mood for a brainteaser.

18. Either a mass loot option, or something to prevent enemy corpses falling into inaccessible areas. Had to reload a save because of this.

19. The ability to hide the ui entirely out of combat.

20. A button to skip all cinematics (at least half are unskippable, even hitting 'c').

How about you?
+1

There is too much that needs to be improved and added, the game is a hollow shell of what it could have been. I love the game, but after having done so much in it, there's nothing more to do except side quests and gigs, many of which feel the same and have no impact to me.
One of my biggest disappointments is the romance. It feels so fleshed out and immersive until you've had that one scene with them, and that's that. They never call you again, they never text you. They have no more missions for you. What was the goddamn point? I love a sex scene just as much as any other horny lesbian, but one scene with a character, saying "we're dating now" and then forgetting each other's existence isn't very "romantic".

Edit: another thing.. Taking down an enemy is effortless, they make no noise, no sound, you can drag them indefinitely.. They don't struggle at all? "Oh no, a mercenary has got me, i'll just submit" it feels really wrong to just effortlessly subdue enemies like that.

1. For the love of god change the skip button from being the same as the crouch button or at least make us hold it to skip. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been caught on the ground and tried to stand only to end up skipping the first part of a dialogue.

2. Add more endings through DLC or something. I won’t get into it because of spoilers, but please.

3. I’d also like to see more romances added with DLC and the ones we have to be expanded upon more. Shit I’d even pay for this one if they need it to get the actors onboard again.

4. Maybe move the cops back from the road a bit. I get NC is a dangerous place filled with daily crimes and there are investigations everywhere, but I have clipped too many cops on accident from them standing near the road.

5. Transmog clothing damn it! You gave us an entire trailer about style, but here I am running around looking like I just robbed a clown store because of armor.

Man, I don't even know where to start...

Firstly, the city needs a lot more interactivity and reactivity.
Secondly, the city needs an AI, crowds and traffic need to be readjusted.
Thirdly, the skills and stats and perks (all of them) need to get revised and readjusted.
Fourthly, the itemization (all of it) needs to get readjusted.
Fiftly, the whole cop scheme needs to be readjusted.
Sixthly, the game needs a skill to govern driving a car (steering, turning and braking).
Seventhly, why is there no stealing or pickpocketing, there should be a skill for theft and applications to use that.
Eightly, the game needs "media" gameplay and skills, it practically screams to do freelance media stuff.
Ninthly, the game needs more public transportation (subway, cabs, busses) not those teleportation pods.
Tenthly, the whole opening sequence is several hours long, there should be a way to skip it somehow (maybe a choice to bypass all of it with certain consequences.
Eleventhly, the unique intros need some readjustment, they are so short that they feel more like extra busywork than something narratively important.
Twelthly, the players lifepath choice should be showing more in who the character is during the game. Not simply just few dialog options, but in what all you can do (maybe this is already true, but my impression is that after the intro V forgot completely who he was in the past life aside from those few dialog options). Expand the gameplay opportunities tied to the lifepaths; corpos might have opportunities for extra business prospects, more money and possibly connections - nomads might start out finer technicians and have easier time all around with cars (aquiring, driving, etc); streetkids might be naturally more adept with combat to start with and have lowered aggression rates with street gangs. There's all kinds of possibilities.
Thirteenthly, the game needs no new ”large” storyline expansions of any kind before the game is properly put together. So put that aside for the time being and concentrate on what matters the most now (which is not only bugs and glitches and other technical hiccups -- the game feels unfinished and only halfdesigned even without them).

Yeah, if I had written more than general bulletpoints I'd be writing this post tomorrow morning still.

Having a subway or rail system

Having a Barber to change the hair styles and makeup

Have the ripper doctor ability to change your appearance, but not voice, tattoos and cyber appearances

More tattoos in character creator (especially body)

More cyber appearance in character creator

More scars in character creator (especially body)

Have pixie cut or feathered cut in character creator

Some more facial options

Better options in the NSFW section of character creator

Customize or change your apartment

More extended lifepath prolonged mission

Able to view all the news or commercials videos at computer terminal

More romance partners

1. adding the ability to walk in PC. a toggle between walk/jog would be nice

2. fixing the bug weapon reticle stays on screen after holstering the weapon

3. more animations like when we order a drink at a bar instead of opening the shop menu, we choose from a list and the poor it in a glass and we drink it also being able to cheer it!

4. customizing the vehicles like rims and color and etc.

5. a dedicated menu to weapon customizing with a preview also shows weapon metrics like range and damage and mobility and magazine etc.

6. better sorting for items like for cloths sort them with armor. sorting related to the category

7. realistic car speed also increase of hyper cars speed

8. adding boat and helicopters to game

9. adding liveries to game for cars and weapons. camo is good too

10. shooting while driving both cars and bikes. shooting with pistols would be great while driving

11. the AI of NPCs need a lot of improvements. like when we steal a car from them, they resist and fight us. when we point a gun to them, they scream and flee or beg for mercy. when we steal a car parked in a street, they call the police or a smart car security system alerts the police and we must hack it to disable it before opening the doors. making stealing a car harder and more natural. unless there is not much point in using your own car

12. the police AI and behavior must improve. also scaping them is easy at least with 1 or 2 stars. they search for us and be more strike.

13. stealing a car is too easy! when we steal a car in year 2077, it should at least have some smart lock so when the car remote is not close, the car won't start so we hack it! a quick hack or the hacking minigame. even i thought about when we steal a luxury car from its driver when we get far from the driver the car turns off so we must hack using our intelligence or bypass the issue with our technical ability. all i'm saying is car stealing is too easy and unnatural. if it was GTA i wouldn't care but this game is an RPG so even stealing a car should be realistic and with consequences.

14. dynamic HUD to hide unnecessary things on screen when not needed
