Can we please get some heavy weaponry in the expansion?

I'd like that. I wish with update 1.6 we would have gotten more than just 1 new machine gun and 2 new shot guns. Most of the new guns were rifles.

HMG sized:
smartgun, shotgun, tech autocannon, low caliber-high RPM rotary, grenade launcher.

The thermal weapon from a Militech Centaur. Even if cut down for some portability

Over-Shoulder Launchers: Rockets, Massive single shot railguns, Anti-tank rifles.

The kind of stuff you need to be carrying openly from the point you pick it up to the point you put it back in your stash.

Would add just a bit more use to vehicle stashes that way, too.
If these were added, we'd need more enemies to use them on, though.

Yup. Plus it’d be cool to see stuff like point defense weapons, lasers, railguns, and other stuff that wa spresent in the tabletop. Right now the weapon selection feels too bare for how open Cyberpunk is supposed to be.

Yeah, Smasher isn't meant to be the only full-borg even as far back as 2023. There was even a catalogue of full-borg options in one of the chromebooks. IIRC, 2023 Smasher was built around a militarised Samson chassis, and by 2077 he is in a modified DaiOni?
I get that V never really gets the opportunity to get this kind of work done, but Militech sending in (old by 2077) Dragoons, or a cyberpscho mission to detain a rogue "Wingman" or "Eclipse" converted perp, would be a fun addition.
Probably going to need heavy firepower to deal with either of those.

SHOULDER mounted multiple rocket launcher you can use on vehicles or heavy enemies. THAT would be effing Cool. There would be barriers tho, you can use it only once then you have to refill ammo. So gotta make it count.

In the Edgerunners anime the Animals who were chasing that Arasaka car had a shoulder-mounted missile launcher. I would love to have a weapon like that. It would likely have a very long reloading time but as an opener it could make for a nice entrance before you switch to a regular weapon.

I'd also love to see HMGs. Now we're basically limited to yanking the gun off a turret and then walk around with it until the ammo is gone; but with enough points in Body you should be able to just keep it on you and reload it.

There's definitely a lot of potential for some heavier weaponry. I would also love to see something more like cyberware like that rocket launcher that Adam Smasher had on his shoulder; as well as a handheld 40mm grenade launcher. :)

I wanna get in a Centaur exoskeleton and wreck shit up.

The Centaur could carry all the big fun toys, we could even swap out the shield for another big gun.

I'm also a little disappointed we can only drive the Basilisk twice in the whole game.

So my (completely own, not necessarily supported) theory why heavy weapons is so nonexistent in this game is: there isn't much reason to have heavy weapons when you're just fighting 4-5 guys at a time. Enemies can be bullet sponges sure, but bullets and grenades can usually still take them out quick. And the projectile launcher acts (use to act?) as a anti-personnel type weapon.

The real problem is: no vehicle combat. Very few times enemies will roll up in vehicles, vehicles with some kind of turret that you'd have to take care of, something a rocket launcher should be used for. Or have new enemies themselves show up as back up so you'd need some sort of spray and pray, suppression weapon like a minigun to overcome their new numbers. So without these things having been developed, CDPR might have canned more heavy weapons in the development cycle. Again, just my theory.

That said, at least in the next game, I want cluster bombs and mines. Something with big AOE that can rain from the skies.
