I decided to play nomad life path purely because but I can't cycle though the dialogue options or even pick an option, my game is at a stand still, also the animation is slow
What are you playing on? If it‘s on PC you could add some info about your hardware (Gpu, Cpu, Ram...).
Changing the settings might be worth a try though.
